Perfect for extended family stay

This hotel was everything we hoped it would be for our week-long stay in DC. We were close to the subway, had a nice large room and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and supper in a quiet dining room. If you need a comfortable place to land every night after walking around the city this is an excellent choice.

Eh, just ok.

Pros: Decent location
Cons: Decor, cleanliness.
This is a tired hotel in need of a makeover. The linens were shabby, the bathroom was missing something (a small mirror, maybe) and it just felt like the entire room needed a scrub down. The a/c unit sounded like a jet engine. Breakfast was fine, a typical hotel food. Valet parking, unfortunately, was necessary. The parking deck next door was being demolished, so it's not safe to park there. The other lot is too far. So, you're basically forced to pay $15/day for valet parking. Not ideal. I liked that the staff remembered our names. Nice touch.

Very pleasant stay. The room was large with a full kitchen.

Good for the whole Family

Pros: Centrality to stores and assistant living.
Cons: Encourage parents to supervise the herd of kids who at times were running a muck during the decent breakfast.
Location: Restaurants I Max theater,
Mom resides in an assistant living place 1.5 miles from Hotel, we walked to visit her and also enjoyed the local restaurants. Hotel has option to have vehicle valet parked, we did this and did not have to worry about parking etc. It was worth $15 day to avoid the hassle. There was four of us (Adults) the room with a Queen size bed and a roll out bed from the sofa was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable. Room could be tempretured control to fit our needs. Full kitchen was nice too.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in.

I enjoyed my recent stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Silver Spring! The staff members were professional and very helpful. It truly felt like home away from home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning on staying in the Silver Spring area of MD!

Nice Hotel

My husband, 7 year old, and myself visited D.C. for the first time. The hotel was wonderful. They were very helpful with any questions. Their charge for parking was much cheaper than many other area hotels. Also, on Saturday and Sunday there was free public parking very close to the hotel. We loved our room and my son loved the hotel pool. We also really liked that there is a hot continental breakfast everyday. Also, Monday thru Thursday they offer a free dinner. We ate one of their weekday dinners and it was good. There were many stores and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel also. And it is within a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Metro which was very nice. We will be looking for other Homewood Suites to stay at for future vacations!

The whole stay was good, the staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the temperature of the room, but other than that everything was fine.

More than expected

Pros: Everything. A great experience
Cons: A parking lot with self-parking. I like the valet parking for 1 day, but if it were a longer stay the valet could be inconvenient.
Location: about 40 minutes from the inner harbor in Baltimore.
I booked the hotel because it was walking distance to the concert. It was easy to find, just a couple of blocks from the interstate. The staff was great, pleasant and friendly. I was surprised at the extras. The room had a kitchenette with a full fridge, 2 rooms with big TVs. The pool and gym were very nice. The biggest surprise- full dinner and full breakfast. The staff in the dinning room were friendly and the food was very good. Next concert, I'll try to book this hotel again.
