A good location, but slightly grubby.Posted May 20, 2015
Pros: Location. A good price for basic comfort.
Cons: Cleaning and laundry. Bug control. Air conditioning (which was a little weak in my room).
Location: A 10 minute easy walk to metro. The hotel is right next to cafes, restaurants, phamarcy, coffee shops, etc.
I had a large double room on the ground floor, with room safe, good shower, coffee/tea, ironing board (slightly stained/wonky), iron, alarm clock. No fridge or microwave, but ice is provided. Beds were on the soft side, comfortable, but I think there might be a waterproof mattress protector which reduces comfort slightly in hot weather (and the air conditioning wasn't too powerful in my room). Quite a few scuffs and stains on the sheets, towels, walls, etc. but everything was no doubt cleaned to the best level possible. (A more expensive place would replace towels, sheets, etc. more often). I was visited in the night by a large insect which had not been invited. Breakfast was good, ample, but it was a little difficult to find a table at peak times (the hotel was full). Staff were very helpful and polite and they will help with storing luggage, and lifts to the metro, etc.

A place to sleep...Posted May 19, 2015
Needed an affordable place to stay the night while visiting DC and this for the bill. Close to metro with a shuttle if you don't want to walk. Close to restaurants and shopping. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast was fine. Room was dated but I knew I wasn't booking a 5 start hotel.

Needs WorkPosted May 18, 2015
Had to contact housekeeping due to dirty linen. Bathroom was dirty. Ended up buying bleach to clean. Front desk staff was friendly. Cleaning and food staff need work!

Needs updatingPosted May 17, 2015
The room could use some updating! The jacuzzi tub didn't work & the wallpaper was coming off the wall. There was coffee but no coffee maker!

A College HotelPosted Mar 31, 2015
Bed was hard as a rock. Walls thin..could hear voices in next room and every door shut in hall as well as voices. Appears to be a favorite stay for college kids...large groups congregated outside with shouting, laughter, yelling until early in the morning with cars zooming in and out. Kept me awake until 3:30am one morning, 1:30am another. I complained to front desk the next morning with a light "sorry", and "its a college town" excuse. I told them they should tell their unsuspecting guests ahead of time. Breakfast had frozen baked goods that hadn't thawed all the way and dry doughnuts. Would not go back there. Only good service was the cleaning crew for the room. Front desk people were not too friendly on my arrival either.

Decent when on sale for 70 dollarsPosted Mar 13, 2015
Cons: removable shower heads
Location: college town. cvs bike repair shop diner. metro walking distance.
If you are paying around 70 dollars this seems like a decent deal. the continental breakfast lets you make your own waffles, which was the highlight of the hotel. Nothing exceptional, but a decent place to crash on a budget.
