“just what you'd expect from 2 Stars”
proximity to my destination and price were my determining factors. did not mind the neighborhood, but wasn't willing to explore after dark. bed dressings had several burn holes and the towels were extremely linty, but strangely still sandpaper-rough. Room was clean and ready upon my arrival. Free Wifi was low strength, but was fine for everything but streaming vis/aud.
“you get what you pay”
fell so so.
“Ok”
I would go back
“Washington DC one night stay”
This hotel was okay for the one night we stayed. Did not offer coffee in the room. Did not offer hair dryer. If you do not have a rental you need to take taxi ( approx $12-$15 one way) to metro station ( about 3 miles away). Then use metro to get around.
“You definitely get what you pay for!”
The only convenient thing about this hotel is that it was cheap. I stayed for three nights and not once did I have my room cleaned or fresh towels put in. My TV barely worked and it wasn't even a flat screen if that tells you anything. The area around town was not very good. If you are going to DC, the cab ride will cost about $15-$20 each way. Just spend the extra money to stay close to or actually in DC.
“not impressed at all!!!!!!!!”
i would like to say some of the staff there is very rude to the customers. they seem to not enjoy there job and it shows when they greet you upon entering the building.their housekeeping seem friendly but dont like changing the sheet much i was there for a few days and they still left the dirty sheets on the bed and some what clean the room.I think if they put more effort they could have a nice hotel may no 5 star but at least 31/2star.
“Look around first”
Wasn't entirely impressed with stay. For the price, it was not bad however even the non-smoking rooms had a pungent odor, and the area is poorly lit (making me uneasy parking my car). Next time I have to go down, I will be looking towards other hotels.
“Kind of a dive...”
This place was kind of a dive and they hadn't updated anything in years... still had analog CRT TVs. The cable TV only had a few channels (e.g. no Comedy Central, Sci Fi, Learning, History, etc... but they had a bunch of ESPN channels). The bed was the cheapest thing I've slept on in a decade. The room had cigarette burns on most of the furniture (it was a smoking room). The maid took my towels during the one daily cleanup I had while there and didn't replace them. The shampoo in the room came in a little foil pack instead of a bottle, so you'd better not have too much hair. Also, there was no conditioner. The neighborhood didn't really feel unsafe, but it wasn't exactly a pinnacle to civilization either. Just a few blocks away you have people milling around outside liquor stores and bars begging for money and booze. For what I got it should have only cost about 2/3 what I paid, but it was a busy weekend in DC, so the rates at all the hotels were inflated.
“Smelled Like Bug Spray”
There was an overpowering smell in the lobby and room as though they had just sprayed for bugs. The clerk at the desk was on what was obviously s personal phone call which she continued for several minutes while I waited. She held up a finger in acknowledgement. I had to pick up my own towels the 2nd night of my stay and became concerned about men loitering outside the building my 3rd night. Consequently I cut my trip short and contacted Expedia's customer service. They were fabulous.
