Close to Texas A&M

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Comfortable, easy to get in and out, clean
Cons: Make sure everything works that they say works.
Location: Close to A&M and the good restaurants that surround the university.
Hotel was very nice and comfortable. Everything was fine except the wi-fi didn't work.

Good

Posted Aug 3, 2014
We attended the Games of Texas in College Station & chose this stay. It was comfortable although we did ask for another room due to flies coming out of the bath tub, a muggy smell, & the fridge was giving off a high pitched sound. The 2nd room was a lot better, no problems. It served its purpose & the bed was restful!

Worn Out and Dirty

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Not much
Cons: See above
We stayed in seven hotels on our trip to Texas and back, and this was the second worst. The facility is run down. There was dirt on the walls and the carpets were badly stained. The staff was friendly but it did not overcome the overall shabbiness.

Disappointed

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Went to check in at 4pm and attendant wasn't sure if room was ready! Waited in line for 15 minutes for him to tell me that after he answered the phone at least 5 times instead of helping the customers in line in front of him!!! I finally came back at 9 pm and I had a room. Tube was a little on the dirty side but for the price I guess I should have expected that. Though my friends husband had to wake up both attendantsnon the night shift because he needed more towels. Other than that it was ok to sleep there!

You get what you pay for! Great for a short stay!

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: The price. You get what you pay for. 7 minutes from A&M.
Cons: Mosquitos were bad in some common areas. Rooms were mosquito free. But, in their defense there had been a lot of recent rain.
Location: Eating and TX A&M with 5 - 7 minutes. Veterans Athletic Park 10 - 15 minutes ride.
My son and I were there for a weekend football camp and wanted something inexpensive and clean, which University Inn fit this bill. Check in and out was easy, guy was friendly. Our room was clean with two double beds. The room could use some updating... but, you get what you pay for. At this price there appears to be people living in the motel which for me was not an issue. I had no concerns regarding safety, you just have to take normal precautions and not make yourself a target. The Continental breakfast was okay as far as continental breakfast's go...cereals, muffins, waffles, juice, coffee, fruit.... Be prepared: those living in the hotel have small grills which they use during the evenings to supplement their meals. For a short stay or pass through needing a place to sleep prior to getting back on the road, University Inn is the spot. If you are looking for glamour, amenities and room service go some place else, but, for a room to spend a night this is an acceptable motel for the price.

Location: Close to A&M and grocery stores.
Room was clean and bathroom had heated floor. Stayed there 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised considering how inexpensive it was. Would definitely stay there again.

Cons: We had a four day/ three night stay and room was not cleaned every day. Other than that we still were given new towels every day.
Room was clean, I liked the fact that they all were no smoking. We liked the patio area and pool location, also like the location of the hotel.

Cons: Ceiling fans with pull-chain switches to change speeds should be chec ked often to make sure they can be reached from the floor.
Location: This space won't let me edit.
A comfortable location in an area familizar top me, University Inn served me well. In my room, the AC was easily adjustable (I know TX is hot, but I came from Vegas and can't sleep at 70). The room had a working refrigerator and microwave, and a separate coffee maker; the housekeepers understood me when I asked them to skip making the bed. Brandon at the desk was efficient and pleasant.
