Checked in just after 12am on a Friday. After the nearby Holiday Inn said they couldn't accept time of check-in, because check-in isn't till 3pm and couldn't make changes in the system. The counter worker at Hampton understands people traveling, check in at all times and made the adjusment to get myself and my family in a room. Love seeing people taking care of each other in todays world!!

The bathroom light covering was broken and fixed with tape. The transformer for the bathroom light wasn't working properly, it made a loud humming sound whenever it was turned on. The tv reception was terrible. The tv itself was tiny. I saw a large spider craw across the wall.

The bed was so hard I could have bounced quarters off of it, the pillows were just as bad. The lock on our door was falling off. The bottles of soap in the bathroom were empty. It smelled very musty and there were cobwebs all over the ceiling in our room.

The ladies that work there are wonderful! The guests that were next door were very rude and disrespectful. They were loud and very loud at 3 am to 7 am.

Hampton inn used to be one of my favorite chains. The hotel was not updated and the bathroom was very small. Breakfast did not have any meat (no sausage or bacon).

There were toenail clippings in our bathroom floor, the room looked like it was not vacuumed because there were large dried food chunks in the bed area. The staff, esp. the front desk were very rude. Everytime we asked for something he acted like we were putting him out. The door to the pool was messed up and he was annoyed we asked him to open it, we needed towels for the pool and that was annoying to him. I would never stay here again!

I purposefully selected a room in the ground floor near a side door due to the type of trip we were on requiring us to enter/exit a lot and carry multiple items each time. The keypad entry was broken so you could get out but not in. Our room was clearly under construction. No pictures in the walls with huge bikes where they once were, baseboards laying on the ground, no fridge, no hair dryer, no trash can, and no clock. There was thick dust everywhere, a toilet lid that didn’t fit, only enough toilet paper for two uses, no air no matter how low we turned the thermostat.

Old property needs updating. Noisy AC/heater unit; noisy bathroom air vent. Bed linens clean but look old/extremely used. Nice, warm breakfast served. Front desk staff at check in not warm/welcoming.

Not a good night - very displeased
I was awakened late at night by a loud knocking on my door and someone trying to use their key to open my door. This was supposed to be a very relaxing evening for me. I didn’t open the door but yelled through the door that someone was in this room. They finally left. I called the front desk to let them know and asked if I should call the local police. They said they would follow up and call me back. I did not receive a call back and consequently it took me awhile to fall asleep. When I checked out the next day, the manager asked how was my stay. I told her about the incident and she told me to follow up with hotels.com and that I should not be charged. She said they could call and speak to her. I called hotels.com and have not heard back. I am very disappointed.

Didn't live up to expectations.
Staff was short. Had to wait several times for desk help while they were off somewhere. Beds were good and room was quiet. Found leftover clothes behind chair in room. Pool was cold and pool and area was dirty. No towels. Breakfast was a mess. Area was not clean. Out of waffle batter, out of orange juice, milk for cereal was warm, no yogurt, hot breakfast entree was about out, breakfast rolls were gone, bananas were past good and no other fruit. No breakfast attendant. Front desk guy was trying to work breakfast too. When he went by reminded him of the outages. After about half and hour he did try to refill the orange juice but we were done by then. I stayed here rather in downtown ST. Louis because most of those hotels charged a cover for breakfast. Would have been better to do that. I stay at Hamptions a lot and this was by far the worst I have stayed at. Room was smaller and older but beds were good. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Pool was a big disappointment. Water was up to fill level but just didn't look that inviting and water was cold. Key lock for pool didn't work with our key. Desk help let us in. Trash can in pool area was over full. Hair and other debris around pool. Overall it appeared like the place was understaffed and there was little attention to detail that makes your stay a good one. I rated this bad because I came away with an unpleasant impression for most of the visit. Didn't live up to my expectations from other visits to Hamptions in the past.

Not up to Hampton Inn standards. 3 lightbulbs were burned out in the room, the comforter was dirty, the carpet needed cleaning, the telephone didn’t work, the bathroom was in need of attention, breakfast was very mediocre.

Our room was an average hotel room but had a small chaise lounge so 5 people (2kids) fit comfortably. The breakfast area is under construction currently but they still had all of the necessities for a general continental breakfast. The pool needed some cleaning. Otherwise nice stay. Great location

The property was a little outdated and needed some repairs (i.e., smoke detector battery alarm, the bathroom door in my room had a crack in it). The pool was closed for repair. Breakfast was surprisingly decent, and, overall the staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was dirty. Children's clothes left behind and cereal on the floor. The shower head did not detach and so there was NO option to shower on the bench in the back of the shower stall. And I specifically requested a roll-in shower so I could bathe. The mattress was very uncomfortable. Both my care giver and I were extremely sore the next day from sleeping in the bed.

Front desk excellent. Outdated facilities. No fridge/ microwave in room. Had to go to the lobby for coffee creamer/sugar. AC was hard to adjust. Stayed five nights with no maid service. Breakfast was ok, cold eggs one day but otherwise alright. Pool did not clean. Very disappointed in Hampton

Staff was not responsive to requests for maintenance or basic cleaning i.e. refreshing towels, bathroom, refreshing beds, removing trash from room advertised in your promotions lightbulbs 3 were replaced upon our arrival from lamps/overhead once we brought to housekeeping's attention.our rooms... overall not what expected having stayed at other of previously..........terribly disappointed for the cost..
