Cheap hotel- close to train/subway

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: -Close to train and subway -Plenty of great bar and food options around +/-Young neighborhood
Cons: -Elevator is a little creepy -Hallway lights turn off automatically after a time -Wifi should be free given the very slow speed
Location: -Middle Eastern restaurants and stores nearby -Young residents nearby as well
Was not expecting a fancy hotel, the price gets what you would expect.

Sleeping on the railroad tracks

Posted Oct 26, 2010
The hotel is right next to the train tracks. In fact, if you look outside your window, you can see the trains passing by. If you move to the other side of the hotel, you can still feel and hear the trains as they pass by. The interval is like every thirty to forty minutes. The hotel is small and cant be three stars. Its more like two or one and a half stars. I stayed here for six nights since all other hotels were booked during the week of Photokina. The breakfast is excellent though and so is the spartan staff. But the room amenities are almost way below international standard though the rooms are clean.
