rooms are plentiful size. bed and bath are clean and comfortable. excellent and fast wifi signal. nearby a modern shopping mall for convenient shopping. breakfast has good variety, but the quality is lacking. perhaps suggest heading for breakfast earlier before food gets stale. the guest information book in the room states certain toiletries are complimentary. after asking front desk for items like a razor, i was informed it would be 2 euros after walking away with it. 2 euros is not alot of money, but guests should be informed there is a charge/fee straightaway. maybe its just me, but if something is posted as complimentary and i ended up paying for it, i become very displeased. inconsistencies like this will make me select another hotel in leverkusen the next time.

Old Hotel, room doesn't have any air conditioner or even a fan, you can open the window but there is no screen for the window with lots of bugs, staff are not friendly at all. Don't wast your vacation there.

Convenient Hotel between Dusseldorf and Cologne

Hotel location was very convenient as it was located within walking distance to the Leverkusen Mitte train station. The RE would take you to Dusseldorf or Cologne in approx 20 minutes. Overall the hotel was nice. The carpets and decor is very dated and the elevator waits can be long when on the upper floors. Restaurant and bar was good. Pool and sauna were a plus as well as the included breakfast and very reliable internet. I would stay here again.

Thought better of best erstern

Stayed here before for business trips and had great exeprinces where we thought would get again.Afraid not! Arrived sat night went into restraunt for meal no one around. Went looking around hotel for a member of staff who when found asked us to change tables as she did not want to disturb the table we were at. Meal ok but expensive. Next day at breakfast again no staff to serve coffee had to fond ourselves this was yhe case for all three days we were there. My husband requested to fried eggs to be cooked which took over 15 minutes to arrive and were un eatable as tbey were rubber where they had been left the second batch was not much better. The rooms were clean and tidy but over heated everyday we turned the heating off only to find it on again on our return. On departure neither lifts were working and a workman took pity on us taking us down in the staff lift. On checking out we found out we could have ordered flasks of coffee complimentry for our room surely this service should have been offered on arrival Greatly disappointed
