Was okay, breakfast had a variety of food and drinks. It’s walkable to the rhein river, parkhouse is directly under the hotel A brewery is next to it same as mcfit and police.

Hotel is middle of the road for sure. Definitly not "premium". Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful. Good European style breakfast. No lunch or dinner. Restuarant right next door is authentic German and very good. About a $35 USD cab ride to Cologne city center. Must call for cab. Close to Cologne Messe convention center.

The hotel was clean and spacious. Unfortunately their Aircon/heating was broken. The room temperature was stuck at 25C. Making it very uncomfortable for sleeping. When addressing this with the hotel staff, they shrugged their shoulders and told me that "the company already fixed it." I told them this clearly wasn't the case but they seemed unwilling to go back to the aircon service company! All very polite and friendly, but it is clear that their management could not stand up for their customers (paying guests) to the aircon company. Disappointing

Business trip in Koln.
The room was surprisingly dirty. The bathroom was quite dirty, and had mold around the caulking in the shower. There was no shampoo or conditioner. We were upgraded to the fifth floor, which had a balcony / garden. The weeds were growing quite well, and the entire garden was unkept. You were not able to adjust the heat, and had to go to bed with the door and windows open to offset the 23C temp. Therefore we had to deal with street traffic noise, etc. I rarely give bad reviews, but I had to for this hotel. BTW the breakfast and service in the restaurant was very good.

Short Overnight Stay
This was just for a short stay on our way to a wedding in Cologne. We arrived late in the evening. Staff were efficient and friendly. Standard of room beyond what I would have expected at this price. Didn't really check out the facilities but the hotel was clean and well maintained with nice decor. Quality of breakfast and selection on offer was fine. EUR17 though. We stay in Mulheim a lot. The Brauhaus restaurant next door is superb for traditional German food and beer and is family friendly.

Cozy hotel, pets are welcome, breakfast is quite fruitful (Eur17), 10 min drive from an Exhibition Centre. If you are for downtown - use taxi.

Quiet side of Cologne
The parking situation is not very good at this hotel. It was very confusing getting into the parking lot. It was a quiet area. Check in staff was not very polite, felt we were interrupting them. They did get better later that day Room was clean. Parking is very expensive. Paid over 22 euros for 1 night.

I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the years due to the location to the Chempark and the Gilden Brauhaus next door, but I have to say that this hotel has gone downhill and is in need of refurbishment, the first room had a damp smell, so moved to another room, where the handles on the windows were falling off and the aircon was completely useless, as the temperature was 32 to 35 degrees C this was not good (this has also been a complaint in the past so all rooms have the same aircon problem). No hot water on the first morning which woke me up. High level of traffic noise, so intermittent sleep during the night. I will look for another hotel next time.

Welcoming stay at Park Consul Cologne.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Good quality breakfast with a wide range of choices. Rooms clean and tidy. Good general impression when you walk into reception area. Hotel a little away from centre but tram and underground close so ideal to visit areas around the cathedral, zoo and the Lanxess Arena.

I stayed 2 nights in 5th floor room. Room was very clean and cozy, but television was a little bit old and did not work. Staffs in Hotel were all very nice and friendly. Restaurant was really excellent! Wellness facilities such as Sauna and fitness room are also clean and well-organized. In overall, this hotel is recommended. However, the only problem is the location. It's quite far from city center of Cologne (~30 mins by public transportation), and there are only 2~3 bus/tram line that I can get to city center directly without transfer.

QUITE DISAPPOINTING...
Front desk manager was least helpful and had an attitude. When we presented our loyalty card from Best Western, instead of getting a warm welcome, he kept on looking at us. After few seconds, we said we are here to check in. His response was " unless you tell me, I wouldn't know if you are here to check in or check out". We arrived around noon and this manager told us that room will not be available till 3 pm, regular check in time, and suggested we go out and leave our bags here. We decided to stick around and got the room within 20 minutes. There were numerous small instances where we felt that we are not welcome here. He also refused to honor Best Western loyalty points since we had booked through Expedia and they have to pay a large commission to Expedia. This may be the rule but we felt that we were being treated as second class citizens for buying. through Expedia.

This Hotel is lovely , did not know there was a pool and forgot cossy . We did not eat in resturant as we found the menu not very inspiring, and if you want a fresh coffee do not have one here as only luke warm and machine made. There is an excellent bar attached to the hotel which had a great atmosphere. and was packed. so please book.

Stayed there during an exhibition at Koelnmesse. The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious. It takes about 15-20 minutes total time to get to Koelnmesse from hotel via walking to the train station then takin the train.

Very nice stay
Comfortable accommodation with friendly helpful staff would recommend. Only downside is the 30 minute tram ride into the city centre, but that was no major problem 1 tram a number 4 straight into shopping centre and station just 300 metres walk from the hotel. Paid 150 euros for a two night weekend stay very reasonable I thought.

Nice hotel
A modern clean hotel, in the Mulheim district of Cologne. Slightly far out of the city centre on the eastern banks of the Rhine, but easily accessible using the tram/light rail station that is about a ten minute walk away. The hotel car park is very expensive for a non-city centre location but there are free on street spaces out the front of the hotel if you are lucky enough to get one. It is quite safe even with foreign plates as there is a police station next door! Breakfast is also very expensive, just use the local cafes or supermarkets. The hotel rooms are large and all the staff I encountered were very professional and polite. They all also spoke beautiful English.

The Wifi in the hotel is terrible.
The Wifi is really slow in the hotel either in the room and in the lobby. You have to login every 5 min and it always takes forever to do that.

Good hotel in the periphery of Koln city centre. The metro is 5 minutes walk and then another 15 minutes to Cathedral stop. The only main issue is the slow internet.

I stayed in the Hotel for 2 nights whilst on business in Cologne. The Hotel was 'tired' looking and old fashioned and the location was poor. It is reasonably close to Bonn Airport, but there is nothing much in the close vicinity. The rooms were basic, but clean. The Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Service!
The room was quite large, the bed was a dream to sleep in, shower was amazing & the most amusing part of the stay was the cord you had to pull when exiting the car park! The staff were very helpful even to the point of folding our invoices and placing them in envelopes. Was well pleased with this booking.

Excellent stay, best hotel room during our cross Germany tour. Super friendly staff, the room itself was 4.5 stars, very nice pub next door. They unexpectedly offered free breakfast upon checkin, but didn't seem to know about it in the breakfast room next morning. Overall excellent.
