“Great hotel in great location”

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Great breakfast. Nothing to complain about except that our room was a little warm with no air conditioning.

“My wonderful 50th birthday wkend in Colonge.”

This hotel was very pleasant to stay in for our long wkend (4 lads on a 50th). Open access with own front door key 24hrs. We all slept very well, no noise at all from other residents. Very well located right in the middle of cologne city centre, superb views of the cathederal from our window. The staff were very welcoming, polite and willing to help, they also most spoke very good English. The breakfast was a welcome change from the usual egg, bacon, sausage ect... nice meat, bread, eggs, cheese and plenty of cereal and fruit, served coffee, tea and fruit juices. You do get what you pay for and even though its wasn't exactly the ritz, for the money I would recommend, I would certainly stay their again. The taxi journey from the airport was about £15 sterling, approx 15min journey. We as a group of lads were walking out at all hrs and did not once feel threatened. Cologne is a very cosmopolitain city, we had a great experience.

“"Location, location and locationt"”

This was my very first trip to Cologne so I needed a place for just one night at a reasonable price and a great location. The Hotel Callas was that place. Sure, I read some of the reviews before I booked, and took those remarks into consideration. Despite what negative responses people said about this place, (which aren’t that big of an issue) you can’t find a better place so conveniently located at such a value price. I’m a pretty seasoned traveler so I have found that location, location; location is a very key element after traveling from long distances. I am a single guy so the room had plenty of space for me. From my room I could see the Cathedral just a couple blocks away. The breakfast in the morning was A+ and tasty as well, it had everything. I even took pictures of the food arrangement because it looked that good. The staff was great too. The manager/owner, well… “He was like an old friend;” I told him that I would be back again in the summer, for sure. Cologne is a great place and the Hotel Callas is in a million dollar location. Hotel is in extremely good location for sight seeing and shopping - can get to things by walking. Hotel staff were friendly, and spoke english. Room was clean and a good size for one person.

“Friendly staff, great location”

Near to the railway station and the Cathedral, this is an ideal hotel for exploring Cologne. Its friendly and helpful staff serve a superb breakfast! Its only negative feature is its location on a very busy street which might not help insomniacs!

“Nice small hotel”

After reading reviews wasn't sure about staying there. However, our room had just been refurbished and was quite nice and was at the back of hotel which was quiet. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. On the downside, the TV was quite old as stated in a previous review, there was no air conditioning and refurbishing work was being carried out while we were staying there (a bit like the 'Carry On' films). But overall we had a nice stay and we would definitely go back.

“Very good location”

Very good location and attentive staff. The room was cleaned daily. The breakfast was good.The staff was very accommodating and freindly. Overall was a very good value. we were in Cologne in the early spring, therefore, we did not need airconditioning. It can be very difficult in the hot summer months.

“Right in the heart of the city”

A hundres metres from the cathedral and right in the shopping district, the hotel could not be more convenient. Our room was at the back and completely quiet. It was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The service was efficient, personal, charming, and amusingly eccentric.
