“Pleasant stay”

The hotel met all my expectations: clean, quite and with very helpful staff. When I requested, good city guides were provided, as well as extra blanquets, very promptly. The restaruant is good for dinner, and not overpriced. I would certainly recommend it.

“16 night stay”

As an English speaking American in a large German city, the staff at the Dorint went above and beyond to assist with all our needs. All of the desk staff spoke English remarkably well, as well as the wait staff in the restaurants. The pool/spa area is super. Just one comment for families... many of the young men who used the spa, did so au naturel, as is common (I'm told) in Germany. (I saw no women do the same.) I actually saw very few children at the hotel during our stay. The restaurant food was excellent, although a little pricy.

“Christmas Markets in Koln”

This was the typical big city Dorint Hotel. Very professional and courteous staff. The rooms were very clean as well as the rest of the facility. We went on a weekend excursion to see the city's multiple Christmas Markets. The close proximity to the tram/train was ideal for getting around the city. The cost was 2.30 euro for the tram and three stops to the main shopping area. However, a taxi from the shopping area was only 8 euro if you get too tired and don't feel like waiting for a train. Oh, the breakfast buffet was excellent, but a little pricey. Make sure its included in the hotel fee prior to feasting! The attendant only asked for my room number and we proceeded to eat. Found out at checkout the meal wasn't included...bad on me for not knowing. Good stay and will definitely consider the Dorint for future visits.

“A real gem in Cologne”

Recently spent 3 nights at the Dorint an der Messe in Cologne. We were due to arrive at 10pm so i emailed the hotel ahead and they effortlessly arranged for a hotel transfer from the airport with CityRufCologne. Within minutes of collecting our bags we were on a taxi and being driven direct to the hotel. As for the hotel, we were given numerous guides to the city when we checked in, and the room was much more spacious than we expected. Did not have the breakfast as we chose to get breakfast out in the city so cant comment on value for breakfast. The tram was situated literally 20 metres from the lobby, and we would ride for 5 stops and be in the centre of Cologne within minutes. Hotel bar was lively and accomodating, great for a nightcap. Overall would highly recommend. If we return to Cologne we will definitely choose this hotel.

Good place to stay if you are going to the Messe. Good service, clean, good breakfast. Overall a top-notch hotel.

“Great Hotel”

Beautifully designed modern hotel, a bit out of the tourist route, which is good for a city like Cologne - but only a walk across the pedestrian bridge for the center (25 min walk). Staff couldn't have been nicer throughout my stay. Also has very good spa with pool. If weather is nice, have tea or a drink in the courtyard. Ask for room on 6th floor with floor to ceiling windows and view.

“Great find in cologne”

I have stayed in a few of the hotels in Cologne, but found the Dorint to be very comfortable and the service excellent. A high quality superior room, with one of the best continental/cooked breakfast buffets to set you up for the day. Would highly recommend, but not if you want to be in the built up areas of restaurants etc, as it is dead opposite the Messe Koln and really for business only. Cabs are only a short journey to the tourist areas, and the train station and trams are literally 15 mins walk.
