We had a great experience at the hotel. We were greated by friendly staff as soon as we got there. The hotel is very clean, kid friendly and has up to date technology. There are many restaurants around the area, the Koln cathedral is about a 23 min walk from the hotel. We absolutely recommend hotel for people travesith kids.

I liked this hotel. It's a little bit far from the old town, maybe 1.5kms but still convenient. Hotel is lovely and clean and the service was great. Easy to get to by taxi or Uber. Hotel feels safe. There was a terror alert in the city on NY so being a little further away was quite comforting. Breakfast was also very good.

Lovely hotel, outstanding breakfast selection. Bedrooms modern and clean, although we found the rooms very warm even in January. Road noise when window open and air con not much good.

A few minutes walk from Severinstraße Station, which is an a quiet shopping street with restaurants and cafes. The chocolate museum is also a few minutes walk along the riverfront opposite.

Nice variety in the breakfast buffet. Good parking at the hotel. But a lot of noise of children running in the rooms until 23u30. The room was too warm. Opening the window was not an option because of close to the street with a lot of traffic.

Great stay for our trip to Cologne
We enjoyed our stay at Novotel in Cologne. Everything went smooth during our stay there. The room was very spacious and was enough for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). Everyone also greatly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The location was convenient enough to get to downtown Cologne quickly. We would come back to the hotel if we visit Cologne again.

The hotel is situated right on the Rhine river. It is very close to the Main railway station. Taxi is easily available and it cost 11-12 Euros one way from the station. The Cologne Chocolate museum is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The breakfast is very good with all the usual baked goods.

I didn't appreciate what is listing on Expedia website is NOT the same price as at the hotel. Parking fee was NOT 17 Euro like Expedia listed. Hotel staff did NOT honor what Expedia is listing.

The hotel was at a good standard, clean and organised with nice decor, but the breakfast was very expensive and overpriced for what it was - there should be a more reasonable rate for customers who decided to choose this particular hotel, out of the others.

Pleasant stay at Novotel Köln
Our stay at the Novotel in Cologne was fantastic. We were travelling with a 6 year old and a 5 month old baby and the staff were very friendly and helpful when we required the bottle steriliser to be filled daily. The bar staff were friendly and chatty and 1 waiter in particular always stopped to talk to my 6 year old son in English and also was happy to hear my son's German. All in all it was a great stay and we would certainly stay again when we next travel to the city.

Located in the business district and close to the chocolate museum. Hotel nice and clean. Staff not overly friendly. For a four star hotel, room amenities were below average. Tea / coffee not replenished every day. Had to ask for extra towels as two towels for a family of four with young kids not enough. Food services limited and the hotel restaurant closes at 9. The closest place to eat is a walk about 15 mins to the Cathedral area. Overall wouldn’t stay there again due to limited services and location not ideal for a family.

Great hotel
An overall amazing hotel. Friendly, welcoming staff; a spacious room overlooking the harbour and river, very clean and has all the desired facilities for a short trip. In a good location, with a lot of tourist sightseeing spots within walking distance. No faults or complaints about the hotel at all.
