“Cologne - great hotel”

This hotel was a 5 minute walk to Heumarket and was a 10 or less walk from Dom. I highly recommend the hotel breakfast!

“Very nice and conveniently located”

I stayed here for a night only and my time was great! The location was great and I could see many attractions. Beware it is not super close to the train station, it is located in a nice neighborhood but I did walk to it from the Central Station and it took me at least 30 minutes. It was on a gorgeous day, so I didn't mind the walk through the Rhein, but if you want to be next to the Cathedral, this is not the place. The room was great, fresh, and spacious. Woke up late for my check-out, meaning I left an hour later and they didn't charge me an extra night or said anything bad. I appreciated business with these guys. They do what they are doing :)

“Family Friendly”

Our family (2 adults and 3 kids) wanted a location where we could park our car and walk to the main points of interest in Koln--this hotel served us fine. I would recommend this to family and friends.

“Cologne trip”

The Novotel Hotel was was an excellent choice while we were in Cologne. It was about a 15 minute walk to the Cathedral, 5 minutes to the Chocolate Museum and about 15 minutes to the New Market. The rooms were very clean and well decorated. There was a wonderful restaurant about 2 blocks behind the hotel - Rheinau, I believe was the name. The hotel is highly recommended if you don't mind the walk to the Cathedral.

“Great for Family”

We had a large standard room that was perfect for the 4 of us. 2 kids, 9 and 12. Breakfast was great, but expensive. Buy the breakfast when you make your reservation, much better deal. Great for families, near all the Cologne attractions.

“Clean, convenient, and family friendly”

This is a great hotel for families on a short stay in cologne. Not far from the shopping and the cathedral, took us about 15 minutes to walk. Good restaurants just around the corner. Parking for 12 euro a day. The room was comfortable and they had the sofa bed ready with two sets of sheets for the kids. The staff at the front desk was excellent. The Sunday morning breakfasts buffet was delicious.

“Good Deal, But Really a 2 Star Hotel”

The hotel was comfortable and in a good location, but I don't see how anyone could claim it's a 3 1/2 star hotel.

“Worst mattress and pillow I have ever encountered.”

The hotel was just okay. I would never stay again because of the beds and pillows, they were horrendous! The mattress was what you would find in a camping trailer, hard and very thin. There was no box spring, it was really strange. The pillows were like something I would have found at my grandmas house 30 years ago. They were filled with what seemed to be tiny bits of foam. We have stayed at another Novotel in Barcelona and it was not this bad, but because of this, I don't think we'll be staying at another. The breakfast was a joke. The food was okay, but there was no place to sit and no organization. We stood waiting for them to find a table, (at their request) for us while 2 other families went ahead of us and stole the just vacated tables. I was very upset, they need to figure something out to make it more organized.

“Expected More”

Rooms were very dated in terms of furniture and bedding. Extra fees for everything.
