Good location close to Rudolfplatz but...Posted Nov 7, 2014
Not enough plugs points in the room and also no kettle!! Therefore at night there was no way of having a warm drink unless you wanted to go outside which with a child is not always practical. Also room check in was from 2pm but we were told when we arrived that the room was not ready till 3pm.

Clean, Poor accommodation, Lovely staff.Posted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: Location Price compared to competition Long breakfast time (6:30 to 10:30)
Cons: Hotel generally in need of refurbishment Better Wi Fi access Better food/beverage availability other than breakfast (eg room tea & coffee)
Location: Lots of transport (trams, buses & underground train) less than 10 mins.
Good location with lots of transport close by to town centre. Hotel accommodation in general is tired and needs some refurbishment. However staff are friendly, rooms clean and are regularly changed. Reception 24 hour, but other services limited, no bar, hot drinks or room making tea & coffee. I would use again.

Nice Location, Very small roomPosted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Wifi and Breakfast
Cons: Rooms too small, rooms should be ready by check-in time.
Location: Brauhaus Putz - The best pub in town, fantastic kolsch and food.
Located out near the ring, close to businesses and the best Kolsch pubs in town. Had to wait an hour after arriving for check in for the room to be ready. Room was too small for 3 people. Breakfast and wifi were excellent

Decent 3 star budget hotel.Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, Staff, breakfast and price.
Cons: More pillows and comfier bed. A rubber mat in the bath for showering. (The bath had very high sides and it was tricky to get out without slipping.)
Location: Perfect location for me. Cologne is a wonderful city to visit and I hope to return again. Hotel outside the busy touristy area which suited me.
We stayed here recently for 4 nights. Location - excellent. Very close to Rudolfplatz and Neumarkt for trams and subway. Many fantastic shops, bars and eateries only steps away. Within easy walking distance of the university area and the town centre. Cleanliness- uber clean! Spotless! Comfort - we had a comfort room. It was pretty comfy, reasonably spacious and quiet. Breakfast - cannot fault. Plenty of choices and the friendly Staff kept on top of replenishing it regularly. A pot of coffee on every table too! Reception Staff- very friendly, polite and helpful. Return? Yes I would. Recommend this Hotel highly. Thanks Hotel Leonet for a wonderful stay.

Great location, average roomsPosted Jul 10, 2014
Location of the hotel was excellent. Very close to lovely cafés, restaurants and shopping. The single room was very small. Though the bed was comfortable, the cupboards, bathroom & carpet was quite drab-looking and old. You get what you pay for. Breakfast was satisfactory with scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs included.

Cheap hotel in great locationPosted May 27, 2014
Pros: AWESOME location in the heart of the city. Friendly stuff. Free WiFi. Free breakfast.
Cons: Rooms are very small. Beds only twin-sized. You can certainly get nicer hotels if you are willing to pay twice as much. (Yes, twice as much!)
Location: Party area at Zuelpicher Platz, Cologne Cathedral, Neumarkt and shopping street Schildergasse, Rudolfplatz, romanesque churches and museums, Old Town
I booked this hotel for the second time now and I am still very happy with the decision. It is the optimal hotel for those who travel on a tight budget. The Hotel Leonet is BY FAR the cheapest hotel I could find anywhere close to Cologne city center and its location is its biggest plus. It is located between the student party mile "Zuelpicherplatz/Zuelpicherstrasse" (10 min. walking distance) and "Rudolfplatz" (5 min. walking distance) with its medieval gate Hahnentorburg. The major travelling hub in Cologne called "Neumarkt" is also very close (15 min. walking distance) and from there most subways, trams, and many buses depart. Wherever you want to go in the city, you can start from Neumarkt. The major shopping area around Schildergasse also starts at Neumarkt. Cologne Cathedral, Roman-Germanic Museum (history), Walraff-Richartz Museum (art), Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum (culture), the old city hall, and various romanesque churches are about 20-40 min. walking distance. Thus, the Hotel Leonet is located in the heart of the city! The hotel is clean and the staff has always been extremely friendly and accomodating. The rooms have everything that is necessary but they are small and NOT LUXURIOUS. I read a couple complained about the hotel after spending their honeymoon there. This is not a hotel for a honeymoon but for someone who wants a cheap vacation! The hotel has free WiFi and a free breakfast, which is decent but I admit I have eaten better. But hey, its FREE.
