“Good Hotel”
A little outside Paris, but with the Transillien train not too far down the street, it's an easy trip into the city. A side note - Saint Lazare station is large and spread out so it may take some time to get to know the way around it. The bathroom is very French - it has a window to it, so stay with someone you know well. Clean and modern, Meals are overpriced. There is free wi-fi in the lobby, but if you don't get the "high room" it's a ridiculous price inside your own room. The room price was right for a 4 star Paris hotel - I guess they want to gouge you on the extras. Staff were well-mannered, spoke English. Overall a very nice hotel.
“Great hotel with an o.k. location”
This was a great hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The design was very modern and fresh. The rooms were very nice. Beds a little firm but they were ok. The room was very clean and it had a very modern look to it. i thought it was a little weird that the bathroom had a little window looking into the room. The hotel location is ok. Right now there is construction work going on in front of the hotel as they are expanding the SNCF line. However, it wasn't a problem during our stay. This hotel was amazing!! Would stay here again.
“Outside hotel under construction, not close.”
If this hotel were closer to the city center I would give it 5 stars. But its too far and in Paris any money you save by staying away from the main drag you end up giving back on taxis. Outside the hotel is under construction and it was hard for some taxis to find.
“Classy hotel in a shabby neighborhood”
We knew this hotel wasn't in a convenient location for tourists (you have to take a bus to get to the Metro), but we were a little surprised at how run down the neighborhood was. We were advised not to go out alone at night. The buses were packed even at 1 am and I rode standing with one hand on the pole and the other on my wallet. Inside the hotel was a different world. The staff was generally helpful, but could not tell us how to make a call from our room to a toll free number and finally suggested we go across the street to call! Bottom line: we got a great rate on a nice room, which made up for the inconvenience of getting around.
“Nice hotel - but away from the city”
This was a great hotel, the rooms are well designed and comfortable. The lobby is a great place to hang out in the evening. The only issue I had with the hotel is that it is tough to get to by Metro/Subway. No matter where you go - you have to take the SNCF train, and the last train is at midnight. The hotel is a good 10 mins walk from the station. That said, I would still go back and stay in the hotel.
