Expected an amazing experience in a historical place. Ended up with an absolutely rude and unfriendly woman tending bar, the front desk staff giving misleading information, poorly kept rooms and hallways, a terrifying parking garage that is extremely overpriced, and disgusting hallways. The ice machine on the floor we stayed in was out of order and the hallways were poorly lit. Inside the room, the windows were dirty, the pillows were practically nonexistent because they were so flat, and it was disappointing to see the poor patch work on the plaster. At a place as historical as The Antlers, I would have expected they would take pride and use a real plaster craftsman, not a cut rate drywaller/painter. It looked like a rundown motel inside the room. The best part of this stay was the staff and food at Duca’s Pizza. The cost of the room and the ridiculous cost of the parking garage made me feel cheated out of what I thought would be an awesome experience.
