“'We would stay there again'”
After reading some bad reviews about Cheyenne Mountain Resort I was hesitant about staying there. So glad I ignored those reviews. The resort is a little dated but the rooms were clean, the views were lovely and the hotel staff were friendly. We ate at the restaurant a few time for breakfast. They served a wonderful buffet. The waiters were extremely friendly and the service was good. We would definitely stay there again.
“I 'll bring a microwave”
(Don't forget to pay $20.00 toa get your microwave) I think this is out of the normal tocharge 20.00 for a mircrowave when most hotel come with a microwave. The resort is is very nice and the dining area is spectacular. I would rate the resort a 4 out of 5
“Perfect Getaway”
The resort is definitely worth every penny, especially the price we got from Expedia. We chose this location for an Anniversary getaway, while we were getting settled we received champagne and chocolate covered strawberries compliments of the hotel. AWESOME! The room was comfortable and had a lot of room. The grounds were breath taking, especially in the morning as the sun was rising over the mountains. There was a firepit on the back deck with big oversized rocking chairs to enjoy the mountain air at night. We roasted "delicious hot Shmoes", that's what my kids call smores. The staff was more than helpful except for the lady who made our hot chocolate, she seemed put out by our request for coffee so offered us hot chocolate instead. It was an hour before closing down the cafe. When she brought our beverages to us she slammed our cups down and the hot chocolate was seriously lacking in chocolate. Besides that our stay was fantastic!
“"Peaceful and Calm"”
Can't wait to go back and take my daughter. The rooms were confortable , neat, and clean. I heard music coming from the lounge, but did not go secondary to having to be up early for work the following morning. The view was breathe taking, out on the verande one could look at the mountains and out the front door I saw three deers walking on the trail. The calmness and peace was just what I needed after a long day of caring for clients in the hospital.
“Best country club”
Excellent
“Great Views and comfortable beds”
Our room overlooked the mountain ranges and the beds were the most comfortable I have slept in. The location was convenient to Manitou Springs and Colorado City attractions, as well as Colorado Springs attractions. The breakfast service was great and the pricing on the food was very reasonable! The hotel was a great getaway and left me feeling relaxed and refreshed.
“Great Getaway”
Great place to stay while visiting Cadets at USAFA! Golf, Swimming, Tennis, Great Restaurants!
“Will go back”
Some confusion at the front desk upon check in but believe the desk clerk did not thoroughly read the reservation. Issue was corrected with an apology from desk clerk.
“Overpriced, but clean and comfortable”
I paid extra to have what I was told a spectacular view. However, a large tree blocked the view to the West. To the East I was looking out onto the roof of the hotel. Drinks are overpriced for the size of the drink.
“Cheyenne Resort”
Hotel staff very pleasant and accommodating. Room was wonderful with evry comfortable bed. My only complaints are: 1) Paper thin walls and kids running up and down the hallway screaming - heard every word. 2) Check in staff, although pleasant, did not give correct directions regarding luggage and getting to room (I was in a connected building and could have simply walked across the lobby and taken the elevator. However, I was told to drive around the property and ended up hauling my luggage all over the ups and downs of the pavement (until a wonderful staff member named Reynold, saw me and brought me to my room in a golf cart and explained the layout of the hotel property, Reynold is a gem!
