Pros: very nice everything
Cons: nothing that we came across
Location: We went to the Dinosaur Resource Center and Cave of the Winds during our stay. We also went swimming at the indoor pool. Very fun!
Cheyenne Mountain Resort is beautiful and spacious. The food was tremendous and the staff incredibly pleasant and helpful. We will definitely stay again!

Thank you for your wonderful review and kind words in reference to our resort and our staff. It’s so nice you were able to enjoy some of the local area attractions on your stay; we are very lucky to have such great family attractions so close. Hearing you will definitely be back for another stay made our day, we look forward seeing you again soon at Cheyenne Mountain Resort.

Nice hotel

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Cons: Staff and management in bar
Loved the resort grounds and the rooms were very nice....awesome beds! We really enjoyed the fire-pit and rocking chairs. Would love to come back for a longer stay. Young staff in the bar/lounge were catty and rude...not at all pleased with the service we received there.

We would love for you to come back for a longer stay too! It’s always great to hear what our guests love the most at Cheyenne Mountain Resort during their stay. Comfortable beds, fire pits and rocking chairs, give such a relaxing vision. We would like to apologize if any of our staff did not meet your expectations; this is definitely not a common issue we hear about. Our staff always tries to give it their all to make our guests stay here the best it can be. We will however discuss your comments with our team. Thank you for your feedback.

Super Spring Break Getaway

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: Lovely décor. Sprawling lobby with lots of room to lounge/work. Peaceful atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Clean rooms and bathrooms.
Location: Gorgeous views from deck and pool area. Good shopping within 15 minutes drive.
Cheyenne Mountain is the perfect Spring Break getaway. We drove from Denver and had an amazing break from the chaos of life. The resort setting was spectacular. The staff made us feel like we were in another world for a few days. Finding Starbucks served in the coffee shop was a welcoming touch. Thanks to all of your staff. We will be back.

Was nice to stay there but only once

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Cons: If you go for an upgraded view, make sure its one the clients would want. Ask them if they prefer a golf course view or one of the mountain views.
Location: location was good and could get around ok.
The front desk person was great, she was able to get us in early. We paid for the better view only to get a view of the golf course. When your visiting from another state, you want to see the mountains. This was a waste of $22.00. The beds were hard as rock. After a loong drive, we wanted to kick back in the sauna and later that evening in the hot tub. They do have a nice recreation center but saunas were seperate for men and women. Why not have one for each and then cone for couples. They can afford it. Needless to say, we will be staying elsewhere to next time around. Overall grade for this stay is a 3.

Love it

We stayed for three nights at the bear lodge. Room and view was awesome. The food was just okay for the price. I was disappointed about paying eight dollars for just fries but all in all it was a great stay.

A great way to experience Colorado

Posted Feb 12, 2014
Pros: The resort gives you the chance to enjoy Colorado in true lodge/cabin feel but still have the amenities you want
Location: very easy to access location, close to Manitou, Cave of the Winds, Cog Railway, Garden of the Gods, and Miramont Castle.
We decided to take a gymnastics competition trip and turn it into a vacation for the family and it was wonderful! Cheyenne was close enough to sites that it was easy to get to but far enough away that you didnt feel stuck in the middle of tourist central. The facility is beautiful, staff was helpful and friendly, and the view is breathtaking.

Gotten cheap? Yes they have

Posted Jan 31, 2014
Only stayed the night so did not perhaps understand why I paid $18 resort fee, though I did appreciate free and easy parking and internet. Beautiful and luxuriously appointed rooms, very clean and well maintained. However, could not turn on lamp by the bed or some of the reading lights built into the headboard. Mentioned it at checkout and the lady responded "it's wired to a wall switch- we don't know why". Well, it's wired wrong or she's full of poo. How does it make sense for a light, typically used in bed, to be controlled by a wall switch somewhere else in the room? Sadly, this is the only hotel that I've stayed in for quite some time that didn't have fresh, hot coffee down in the lobby area. Sure, they had a Starbucks, but even there I couldn't use my Starbucks card. OYE Worse, the paper products in the room were, um, industrial. I mean, they were cheap and rough. Worst of all, instead of refilling the Kleenex, someone had stuffed a handful of tissues into the top of the tissue box - as if nobody would notice. That's cheap and gross. So I'd say this facility has the potential to be a grand hotel and resort. But the cheapness of the current management leave me wondering how they managed that fourth star.
