Wonderful area, views, service, food, Top of the M

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: The staff, smiling and very pleasant and great service.
Cons: I found nothing that I would want to say needed improvement.
Location: The area had been hit hard by flood and fires, but great views and good hard working people.
I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, great staff, great food, I had a very enjoyable stay.

Historic setting at the base of Pike's Peak

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: atmosphere, dining, location, friendliness of staff, wonderful mountain air
Location: Just out the door, Manitou Springs is a quaint mountain town with a wide variety of shops and dining. You can take the cog-rail train up Pike's Peak
As you enter the doors of the Cliff House, you are transported back 100 years. The historic restoration is impeccable throughout, dining is first class, and the staff are there to make your stay unforgettable. They exceeded my expectations, and I plan on returning soon.

Posted Mar 25, 2014
Location was great, easy to walk to all the local shops. Staff was great, history was interesting, room was more than I expected for the price. Great experience, we will be back. A shining star for Manitou Springs.

Awesome Experience

Posted Mar 21, 2014
Pros: Staff, room, food, location.....
Cons: Only thing I could suggest is leaving an extra blanket - it was not cold and we had a fireplace I just like to have plenty of blankets to wrap up in..
Location: Perfect location - literally only minutes from the tourist attractions...
A last minute trip to sight see, with changes the day of adding a person and upgrading the room - the hotel staff were awesome, very helpful, made sure we were taken care of in the hotel, and answered questions we had about the places we wanted to see.

Beautiful hotel in a quaint mountain town.

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: The rooms(suites) are beautiful. Very comfortable and have the needed amenities for travelers.
Cons: The breakfast which is included inthe price of the room could be better. It's served buffet style in hot chaffing dishes and food becomes overooked.
Location: The hotel sits up from the street level so most rooms provide a close view of the surrounding mountains. You can easily walk the town down below.
The hotel itself is beautiful. Is located in a small mountain town that attracts a lot of visitors. THe CLiff House staff are friendly and some of whom were born and raised in the area. So, the hotel staff are knowledgeable of the surroundings and they provide helpful service to each guest. There are other attractions that are close by. (i.e. God of the Gods drive through park, The North Pole, and the cliff dwellings). The hotel also has rooms named for the historical person or celeberty who roomed there. Such as the Clark Gable room, Teddy Roosevelt room and the Crown Prince room.

Wonderful, old historic hotel

Posted Feb 14, 2014
Had a lovely two night stay at the Cliff House. The staff were very courteous and helpful and the room was cozy and comfortable - very quiet too! Best experience I've had in one of the older hotels! Loved it, and plan to go back!

Old world charm!

Posted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: Pros: Staff friendliness, Old world charm, small size, fantastic dining, views and location, great value for the quality.
Cons: Cons: bathroom fixtures were loose, and peeling. Fiberglass tub had some stains. Some unexpected fees upon check-in.
Location: Nice, quiet, and romantic, in winter. Busy and numerous local activities in summer.
Fantastic old hotel with an incredibly friendly staff! The on premise dining was wonderful, and a value for the quality. The included breakfast was not your typical motel buffet, with homemade biscuits and pastries. The views and proximity to activities was great, with shopping, dining, and nightlife within walking distance. I certainly recommend paying the reasonable $7 for parking as the streets are narrow and crowded. The rooms were very nice and clean, but the bathroom fixtures are starting to show some age and our shower curtain had a soured smell. Not trying to be overly critical, just honest. Overall, a fantastic small hotel. We are already telling friends about it, and planning on getting back!

The Cliff Hotel, luxurious traditional hotel

Posted Feb 1, 2014
Pros: The hotel decor was in the tradition style but don't let this put you off. the quality of the furnishing, comfort throughout was excellent.
Cons: I would improve nothing.
Location: Manitou Springs is a charming mountain town ideally located for Pikes Peak which should be on the agenda for all who visit here.
Our stay at this hotel was delightful, the staff were friendly, very knowledgeable about the local area and it's history. The Restaurant and it's staff provided us with an amazing selection of local American cuisine and wine. The hotel is very central a perfect location to visit Pike Peak.
