A bit hard to find but well worth it.

We are picky about comfort and cleanliness and the Cliff House delighted us in every way. The staff are friendly and quite attentive. The room was nicely furnished, very clean and the bed was comfortable. The large shower offered a steam option which was great for my allergies. There are many other niceties, too numerous to mention, that you will want to discover on your own. I highly recommend this lovely, historic hotel.

Charming, relaxing and comfortable.

Pros: History, charm, ambiance, piano music, grounds, staff, breakfast buffet, awesome location to historic Manitou Springs and area sight seeing
Cons: Cleaner bathrooms and move outside smokers away from entrance.
Location: We enjoyed First Local Grocer, Good Karma Coffee Shop, Cog Rail to Pike's Peak, Cliff Dwellings, Rainbow Falls, Garden of the Gods, Cave of Winds.
We love the following about The Cliff House: Breakfast buffet was delicious. Room was comfortable. The lobby, d├ęcor and music were relaxing and enjoyable. Workout room is perfect. Grounds were beautiful. Staff was helpful, friendly and professional. Bottled water available in rooms and workout rooms was perfect touch for altitude adjusting people such as us. Vicinity to area sight seeing was perfect...so much to do close by, we would have loved to stay longer! Staff recommend "Good Karma" coffee shop, which was right up our alley! Only thing to improve upon: Clean bathroom a little better. Bathroom was clean, but did not seem to be deep cleaned. Suggest the following to improve: wipe down doors to bathroom as dust and spilled items were on door, clean caulk and grout in shower a little more, clean around toilet tank rim as there was built up dust and residue. Also, maybe ask smokers to smoke around side of building instead of in front so guests do not have to walk through smoke to access entrance. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again, except longer next time around! Beautiful hotel with history and ambiance that was pleasing. The piano player was talented and made me smile to hear. Staff always had a smile and friendly greeting, and the grounds were beautifully maintained with butterflies fluttering between blossoming flowers. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful as well! Thank you for making our vacation pleasurable.

Amazing historic hotel in Manitou Springs

Posted Jun 28, 2014
The hotel was amazing. A historic site with modern luxuries. The junior suite had a sitting area, comfortable queen bed, fireplace, and separate sink/dressing area and bathroom. The jaccuzi tub was great and the robes were an added plus. The complementary breakfast was delicious. Parking was $7 which is very reasonable. Free internet available in the rooms. Walking distance to all of Manitou and 5 minutes to the Pike Peak Cog Railway. I travel a lot and this hotel is the place to stay. Recommend this hotel 100 times over!

We enjoyed our stay at the Cliff House. The decor was special and the attention to details such as the stain glass throughout the building made this a special stop on our trip through Colorado. Manitou Springs is a very quaint town with an interesting history and many attractions we were able to enjoy such as a trip up Pikes Peak.

GREAT hotel!

I usually hate staying in hotels and am spoiled by timeshares but THIS was a great hotel complete with more room, robes, frig, nice large shower, great restaurants on site, coffee maker, desk, turn down service with chocolates and even heated toilet seats! Also very convenient to Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. Would highly recommend!!
