“Not clean.”
Rooms were not clean or maintained. Staff was friendly.
“Rude and Crude”
Having asked for and been given authorization for a 1:00PM check out, we were LITERALLY kicked out of our room, having just returned at 11:45AM from all our business errands (and not having finished with the room) after a 6 hours of running around to take care of some serious issues. The bed was very uncomfortable, the walls and carpets were dirty. A very unpleasant experience. Not sure if all Crestwoods are like this, but this one is forever off the list.
“Terrible Service”
Asked for towels, was told to bring old towels down to desk & get new. There was a housekeeper in the hall collecting old towels. Asked about garbage being taken out, was told there are trash recepticals at both ends of the hall and that we were to take it out ourselves. We're given one package of coffee for a three day stay, again, if we wanted more coffee we could come to the front desk and ask for it. The bed was very hard, noisy and uncomfortable. Positives: Cheap, nice hot shower, and good steak house across the street.
“The price and location were right, but that was all!”
Three strikes and you're out! Wifi wasn't working in many rooms. Although we checked in for 2 days, our key expired after one. Finally our refrigerator worked for the first night, but didn't on the second one. We lost orange juice and lemonade. I notified the desk about our problems. I used wifi in the lobby. The key was replaced after walking to the room then to the desk and then to the room again. The maintenance person couldn't fix the refrigerator. The manager repeatedly stated, "I'm sorry for your inconvience", but that was it.
“Nice place for the money, enjoyed more than I expected”
I searched all areas of town, I knew it was far opposite end of town, but nice part. It was a crazy zigzag to get there (city's faulty road system) but well worth the drive. My worst aggrevation is when I called twice and it rang 21 and 29 times, so I just gave up. Parking was easy and free. The other problem was check in, with only a group of 2 in front of me, it took forever. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and well dressed, and from there, all went well. I opened the door and it was really nice, clean, well equipped. It was also quiet, safe, and comfortable. I would go back continuously without hesitation. I would wonder why the price was about the same as the super cheap motels, but maybe due to the decline of the high tech industry in the area. I considered La Quinta, but it was $20 more and glad I stayed where I did. I wish I stayed longer to get away from home !
“Rotten mattress, rickety furniture”
Convenient location, fairly clean overall, but I hope to never sleep on that bad a mattress again in a long time.
“Adequate, but Disappointing Stay”
For the price this hotel was adequate for my trip. Small problems made my stay uncomfortable. I would look elsewhere for my future trips to Colorado Springs. My disappointment started with the bathroom floor not being cleaned and vacuumed from the previous guest as there were soil marks and sand on the floor. Second, I had to ask the staff to unclog the toilet as it would not flush. Third, the refrigerator was extremely noisy. Forth, the room was not cleaned during my stay. i.e. no replacement towels, no emptied trash, no clean or tidy of the bed linens. Fifth, the internet would not connect to my iPod, and calling the internet customer service number was unhelpful. A most disappointing experience that the hotel can improve upon. Until then I would look elsewhere.
“Okay, but could be better”
Had to wait the entire day to get clean towels. Very noisy guests coming in and out all hours of the night.
“What a mess!”
We stayed overnight in CS due to my son's soccer tournament. The hotel was swamped as lots of soccer families and others reserved rooms here. The hotel was not sufficiently staffed- with only one person on duty trying to do his best. The hotel is old, well used, and in desperate need of updating and a thorough cleaning. The hallways and stairwells (we walked up and down the stairs since the elevator was either inoperable or barely moving most of the time) looked as though they hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner in years. Our room was okay visually, but after closer inspection we weren't sure the sheets were clean, the bathroom and all its fixtures had a sticky, filmy quality to them etc. Good thing we checked in late and needed to head out very early in the morning as the hotel and its rooms were not places you'd want to spend much time in. When friends checked into their room, the room was a mess. It had not been cleaned in who knows how long... trash on the floor, no linen on the bed, one queen bed instead of two that had been reserved. It was gross. The poor guy at the desk (still swamped) could barely get people checked in, let alone deal with a problem with the room. Finally, after a long wait, our friends were moved to another room. Sometimes you find an inexpensive hotel and score a deal. Other times you get what you pay for. Then there are the hotels that you should simply avoid- and this is one of them. Pay a bit more and get a decent room elsewhere.
“Nice place for the price”
The kitchenette was a nice feature although I did not cook. The appearance and cleanliness was very good and the staff were pleasant. However my light bulb over the bed burned out and I called the front desk to get another one so I could read in bed. I was told by the night desk clerk that he would get one for me when he had time. So over an hour later I had not heard from him so called again and he said he had to go to the supply room to get one and he was by himself & couldn't get away. I told him when he did get the bulb to call me & I'd come down and pick it up. It was getting late & I wanted to read so I went down to the desk and asked him about the light bulb so he told me to get one from the sample room across the lobby. So I went in & took a bulb from that room & returned to my room and read. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.
