Out of queen rooms

Reserved a two bed queen room, but when arrived was told that Hotels.com had overbooked them and they were out of rooms with rwo beds. We were "ungraded" to a king suite which meant that one person had to sleep on the sleeper sofa which did not have any blankets. Management did bring up some blankets and clean linen. The room did have a microwave and frig. During our trip we arrived late in the evening and left early so would have preferred two beds vs the microwave / frig upgrade. Wasn't horrible.

Glad I dont stay in hotels often

We get very few trips where we can both stay in a motel, this was just an over night for local medical appointments, so we spent a little more to have the pool and hot tub that we don't have at home, of course they were not operational. The continental breakfast area was poorly maintained, most of the single serve packages of butter etc.. Were damaged. breakfast Danish stale. We would call it a toast bar, but for the waffles (mini) that you make for yourself. The room smelled and as dirty if you looked closely, three or four of the neighboring rooms were propped open with floor fans running. (probably broke pipes and the floors were drying) Should have shut the floor down, they were not that busy.

I will look into the stale breakfast items considering that we go over breakfast items really quick. The breakfast makes the stay worthwhile

If I had written a review before breakfast, it would have been mediocre. Basically just a place to lay your head, but the breakfast was fantastic. More than you get at your average continental breakfast. Also the pictures are a little deceiving, while they do have a pool, it's tiny! Really tiny. But it does suit it's purpose.

Colorado Springs Hotel

Pros: Close proximity to I-25
Location: Garden of the Gods, Chapel Hills Mall, lots of resturants.
Traveling from out of state and was able to check in early to get some sleep and keep going.

Was convenient for our purpose, easy access to Air Force Academy. Plenty of places to eat within a few minutes walking distance. Our only complaints were noisy kids /people talking very loudly and running down the hall and up the stairway in the late night and early morning hours, and the room above us was occupied by a family with heavy feet and a running child. The best surprise was our room had a jetted tub which we very much enjoyed.

The staff was very nice, and the location was very convenient for activities at USAFA, but the hotel is very bare bones and in need of updating.

Overall was okay. Sheets on one bed were stained. And hot tub was not real hot. More like a warm bath.
