We arrived during a shift change at 10pm CDT after traveling all afternoon/night from EDT, so for us it was 12amEDT. The outgoing clerk would not check us in and had us wait for 10 mins for the person who was coming in, and late, to do it. With no acknowledgment of us waiting, he proceeded to do what ever it was he does at the computer right in front of us, never looking up or saying a word. I waited in disbelief. After about 5 mins, he looked up and asked for my ID. After that process and 20 mins later, I went to the room assigned to me and the key would not work. Went back to the office, confirmed the room number, was given another key and that one also didn’t work. He had me wait while he completed another check in, then walked me to the room and his key didn’t work either. Next room smelled bad and had gnats everywhere. Almost an hour after arrival, and 3 rooms later, we had a room. Now this Motel is usually ok. I’ve stayed here a few times before because my daughter attended CC and the location is ideal. The rooms are old and poorly kept, but usually clean. Customer service tends to be, ok. It’s been over a year since I’ve been back and this has been very disappointing and frustrating. I won’t be staying again.
