It's was cheap.

The place needs renovation. I ask to clean room after being in it for two days. They took most of the trash and made the bed. They left the dirty glasses I had left out in plain sight. Overall not impressed seeing it's an Embassy Suites.

Academy Visit

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Location: It is 10 minutes from the Academy and close to area attractions (Garden of the Gods) and shopping/eating.
Other than being a bit dated (small bathroom, ceiling crack), this was a great place to stay. We will stay again. The breakfast and breakfast service were very appealing. Even with many people eating at the same time, the room is spacious and not at all crowded. The same can be said of the happy hour (actually 2 hours) in the evening. The suites are spacious and quiet, the pool/hot tub area is big enough to support lots of swimmers. The staff met every request quickly and courteously. Should our son choose the Air Force Academy, we will be regular guests.

Good access to highway

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: I liked the room configuration, the breakfasts and convenience to the interstate. Having a mini-fridge and microwave were great.
Cons: Housekeeping was not up to expectations. I encountered sticky spots, stains left from glasses, glasses not replaced, toilet top dirty.
Location: Easy interstate access. Most of the things we did were in the south part of town, but not terribly far from the hotel.
The accommodations were perfect for three of us. We enjoyed the breakfasts

Great stay

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Location was good and in a nice area of town. The hotel had an overall fancy feel to it while in the lobby and dining area. The pool area was kind of dirty but it was always full of people. The breakfast buffet options were plentiful but mediocre in flavor. The made to order option was better flavor and fresh! Nice touch! The Polo Club hotel restaurant was just ok. Kids meals were the best option! Most food for your money. We tried the pizza, salads and chicken sandwich and were dissatisfied with the price and flavor. The room was my least favorite. I will say the odor coverup fragrance (EVERY hotel uses one) smelled like a nice citrus instead of musk. The bed was comfy and soft. The hotel noises were loud at night like washing machines and movement outside. We heard what sounded like low flying airplanes but only at night?! The living area was dark and uninviting. The couch, uncomfortable to sit on and when pulled out, uncomfortable to sleep on. Wifi sucked and I refuse to upgrade for a daily fee. The best part of our stay was happy hour! Free drinks and awesome bartenders! 2 lovely ladies. ALL staff was great but they were our favorites! I would stay again.

Spacious rooms - overall condition is declining

Posted Mar 14, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was the best! Did like the comfortable beds and linens
Cons: Fix some of the ceiling craks. One of our friends had a room that kept leaking from the ceiling.
Love the free happy hour and delicious breakfast. Was disappointed to see many ceiling cracks and leaks throughout the hotel.

Close to our Event

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: The extras offered to make it more enjoyable trip
Cons: elevators slow to respond to pick and did not see staircases to utilize instead
With the room and the extras available at the hotel helped with getting our event members together at night for some conversation over a couple of drinks and ready for the day with a great breakfast in the morning.

Weekend Valentine's Getaway

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: I liked the staff, the breakfast, and the evening receptions!
Cons: Replacing some of the windows or sliding doors in the Mountain View rooms.
Location: It is located at the north end of Colorado Springs very close to the Air Force Academy. It was easy to access a variety of routes to get to things.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. I was amazed at the amount of food available for the breakfast. The hotel was totally full, and they handled it all with ease. I also was surprised at the evening reception every evening. I would definitely stay there again. The only drawback was paying for a "mountain view", but our window looking out was dirty and had condensation between the glass so we couldn't really see out of it.
