Gorgeous view but that's about it

We picked this hotel for the view and that was truly amazing. However between the construction inside and bar staff that complained about everything the view is the only thing we can rave about.

Huge room with fantastic view

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Beautful view of rock formations, lovely staff, beautiful room, noon checkout.
Cons: Nothing
Lovely very large room in a golf resort. It was very luxurious indeed, with our own outdoor patio. Very comfy bed, room service food very prompt and of a high standard. (Being a golf club, the dining options required more formal dress thakn we had). Expensive for just an overnight stay but we revelled in it and loved the noon checkout.

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy a great view.

Cons: The hotel is presently undergoing some carpet replacement, so access to spa and pool was a little difficult.
Great view. Great staff. Quiet and relaxing. Walked out our room and was face to face with a deer munching on the bushes... that quiet!

Nice location to access the sights in area.

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: Gate location for access is somewhat hidden, they need something or someway to make it stand out.
Location: Pikes Peak, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, Cliff Dwellings, foods, parks, the list is endless!
The RV park is easy to locate, just off the 24 basically, and centrally located to all the premier sights we wanted to visit. Very friendly employees and willing to advise about local activities. It was a great experience.

Nice resort with lots of amenities. Beautiful view

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Location and view!
Cons: Rooms are dated but they are working on that issue.
Location: Manitou Cliff Dwellings are great! Cave of the winds is fun. Glen Eryie Castle is beautiful and mysterious. Garden of The Gods is breathtaking!
This resort is amazing but the view and location make it spectacular. Just minutes from dwellings, caves, golf, hiking and even a castle. Great place for a romantic getaway or family vacation. The rooms are dated but clean and well kept. They just started to renovate so I am excited to go back next year. I have travelled to many places and the view here is hard to beat. The restaurant, lounge and spa are beautiful. In the one night we spent there, we saw lots of bunnies, a raccoon and large buck. Beautiful place!

Can't get a better view!

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Lobby was beautiful. They were redoing the check in area but it didn't matter. Room was huge and had an awesome view of the Garden of the Gods. The room d├ęcor is a little dated but very clean and comfy. Bed was really comfortable. Didn't have time to swim but nice pool overlooking the Garden of the Gods which by the way is about a 2 minute drive to. Such a pretty place. The dining area overlooks the Garden of the Gods and the dinner was very good. This place is not cheap but the view is spectacular.

The view (although very nice) isn't worth the rate

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: The ONLY thing I liked was the view - Garden of Gods.
Cons: Everything needs to be updated!!!!!!
Location: Colorado Springs is awesome!!!! There is alot to see, do, etc....especially for families - I would highly recommend visiting the area.
I stayed at this hotel with my two sons (12 and 7) - when I booked it online I thought the price for the room was extremely high, but couldn't find another hotel in the area for the dates I was staying. I put that three people would be staying and all that came up was what was called a king suite. After much debate and trying to find another place (unsuccessfully) I decided to book the room and when we got there it was nothing more than a king bed with a love seat couch that wasn't a sleeper. The room was highly outdated - looked like it was original decor from the 70's and I think the complex is some what of a retirement community - not the most kid friendly place. The pool, although it was nice, you had to drive over to (probably 1.5miles away) across the street in another community because the pool on-site is adults only. For the nightly rate they charge you certainly should get alot nicer room, amenities, etc...- I stayed out at the Viceroy in Snowmass, CO for less money and it was one of the nicest hotels, rooms, amenities, etc... that I have ever stayed at. Bottom line unless your 55 years old traveling with just one other and/or just looking to be highly overcharged for a room don't stay here - stay at just a regular hotel and save yourself alot of money - trust me!!!!!!!! Everything about the place (other than the view - which is the Garden of Gods) is simply not worth it.

Everything top notch but the area was a bit snooty
