Very please with the staff and how they gave special attention to making us feel comfortable. There was an electrical issue and they repaired it. Gave us another room which was an upgrade. We were very please with how friendly the entire staff was. They would constantly ask if everything was (OK) and if we needed anything. I highly recommend the Hyatt House for anyone vacationing to Colorado Springs.

Nice amenities but disappointing customer service

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: The breakfast was great and the social hour was very nice as well. The room was very large with a partial kitchen which was very useful.
Cons: The practices of the front desk. Obviously they knew they were giving us a different room than we reserved (it was not an upgrade).
Location: It is close to the main highway so it was easy to get to all of the major attractions like Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and downtown.
Great amenities and services but we reserved and paid for a room that we did not receive. We were given a room with two full beds instead of a King and they did not tell us until we got to our room and called the front desk. They simply said that the room we reserved was not available and they gave us all they had left, not apologetic. With that said the room was still great but they should have been up front with us when we checked in rather than not saying anything about switching rooms.

Convenient and great service

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Convenience!!
Cons: Bedding was a bit average, got hot and cold and "funny" pillows
Location: Not in downtown but a short drive to the action. Very convenient to the I-25 South
We need a spot to sleep on our way to Espanola, NM, and Hyatt House came up on my expedia App. Highly recommended and we were not disappointed. We also got great info on the town so we could make choices for dinner and a bit of sightseeing next day, Tejon St (S not N) and Garden of the Gods!! The omelette with the buffet breakfast was very good!!!

Short stay during road trip

Posted Sep 20, 2014
The hotel is about to begin major renovations. This is good, because the hotel is a little dated. The room I reserved and paid for in advance wasn't immediately available. I only got the type of room I paid for when another guest moved from that room to a wheelchair accessible room. The train tracks were a bit loud, but all in all a good nights sleep and a decent stay.

Almost just right

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Lots of room to spread out and be comfortable. Kitchenette, desk, couch - nicely functional. Plenty of outlets! - a nice feature for all the gadgets. Staff is very friendly and well trained. The brand is clearly playing off the Hyatt name (which, of course, is why everywhere checks it out). But it is not the same. The construction and decor is less. For example, try for the upper floor. The ceilings/floors allow sound transfer. Little kids having fun running on your ceiling will be heard. The main downside - the bed has seen its usable life and needs to be updated. Quiet sleep - but not sound, rested sleep.

Excellent!

Very friendly, helpful, effective staff upon check-in. Ultra-clean, quiet facilities with amenities significantly surpassing expectations based on the reasonable price paid for the room. Convenient location for anyone with business or pleasure in Colorado Springs or visiting Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, or Pikes Peak.

Great value!

Pros: Fantastic staff, clean rooms, good location, free high-speed internet
Cons: The only negative is that the hotel is situated between train tracks. Only one train went by our side during our stay though, and it wasn't that bad.
Location: The location is right off the interstate and close to restaurants. If you want to get outside, Pulpit Rock Park is a nice place for an afternoon hike.
I was surprised at how wonderful this hotel was considering the great deal I got. Staff was kind and sincerely wanted our stay to be enjoyable. The room was much larger than expected, and was exactly as it was depicted in descriptions and photos, which unfortunately isn't always the case. Our room had a kitchenette with a full refrigerator and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and full silverware set; a living room area with a large sectional and television; a clean king size bed with close plug-ins for device charging; a walk-in closet; and a roomy desk with direct connection to the hotel's internet. Breakfast was as expected. There was a variety of options for food and drink, but the protein options weren't fantastic. Both check-in and check-out were the simplest I've ever had. Overall, wonderful experience.
