Pros: breakfast
Cons: faster drain in shower
Location: Can drive half hour on interstate to wherever you want to go.
Awesome breakfast, nice place to stay. Only wish they woud have not gave us handicap accesible. We would have rather had a normal room with a good shower that drained faster.

Disappointing

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: I liked the breakfast - The breakfast was well stocked and cared for - had a lot of selections to choose from.
Cons: Cleaner comforters, security, appropriate advertising.
Location: Don't know - just passing through - one restaurant that we saw.
The advertisement photo suggests that the hotel is looking east and backs to the west toward the mountains. Beware! This photo advertisement is incorrect. The hotel actually faces north and south and is located across the street from the mountains. In fact you can't really see the mountains from the hotel unless you go out and look to the west. I was disappointed in this upon my arrival because the photo suggested the hotel close to the mountains facing east and west - not so. If you're planning on staying at this hotel based on the location - think again. Our check in was fast and good but when we arrived in the room, one of the comforters had a stain of some kind on it. Not good. We asked for a new comforter and they did bring that. My sister and I went to check out the pool and the door to the outside street was propped open so anyone could come in - they also had the door by the hot tub propped open as well. When we tried closing it and opening it again - we saw that it was unlocked. We did tell the front desk but who knows how long the door had been open and what could have happened in the mean time. Very unsecured

nice hotel

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: It was much more affordable than the hotels that were closer to the attractions.
Location: it is not near most of the attractions in Colorado Springs, but is just off the interstate and the drive is not too bad to get too.
It is a good quality hotel in good condition. It is what you would expect at a Hampton Inn. Good quality and a good stay.

Colorado Vacation

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness and amenities.
Location: Near Air Force Academy, Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods
We chose this hotel due to its nearness to Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods and it was an easy interstate drive (about 8 miles) to each of those attractions. the hotel is in the northern, new area of Colorado Springs and is a very nice (typical) Hampton Inn. Had nice selection at breakfast and all room amenities one could expect. Hotel and room were comfortable and clean and staff unfailingly nice and helpful.

Cons: being able to sleep 2 adult and 3 kids.
Location: We did not see very much because we went to our daughters house which was close. but we did go to a store that was real close that Bass pro shop.

Nice, not perfect

Posted Apr 20, 2015 on Hotels
Visiting for USAFA event, very convenient to North Gate. Front desk staff was always extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful. Beds comfortable. Big, yummy white chocolate & macadamia nut cookies available 24/7. Quiet atmosphere. Large mini-fridge in room with freezer compartment. Pretty good variety of average-quality food at breakfast. A few negatives: The 24-hour coffee was always lukewarm at best. At breakfast, the one staff member was slow to re-stock coffee cups, and the brand new pan of eggs was cold when she brought it out. Not sure how well-trained housekeeping staff is: the beds were actually lumpy-looking upon our return the first day; sheets had not even been smoothed underneath. Hair dryer in room was pretty lame, but this may be standard for hotels; I usually bring my own, but was traveling very light this time. Bathroom arrangement means the coffee-drinkers can't get to the coffee while someone else is in the bathroom.
