Clean Room!!!!
Posted Jan 27, 2013
Pros: Room being clean.
Cons: Not having an ice machine on the same floor, but not a big deal.
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado by the airport, it was not noisy like you think it might be. Good location.
Hotel front desk and some areas on the first floor were under construction/remodel, but other than that there was no problems. Hot breakfast was still served. Room was very clean and what I expect out of Holiday Inn Express Hotels. I would stay there again.

Surly Night Clerk but GREAT Day Clerk
Posted Jan 12, 2013
Pros: I loved the breakfast buffet and thought that the customer service skills of the desk clerk (on morning duty) were exceptional.
Cons: The night clerk was surly and didn't answer the phone when I called to complain about the room.
Location: I got lost trying to find this hotel at night. When I called the hotel, no one answered.
I checked in at midnight. The night clerk was somewhat surly. When I got to my room and opened the luggage rack, the rack literally fell apart. When I went to use the bathroom, I found that I had been checked into a room with a handicapped accessible shower. Insofar as I am not handicapped and had been looking forward to a hot bath, I decided to call the desk to see if I could switch rooms. No one answered the phone. On the brighter side, the breakfast buffet had a nice selection of hot and cold foods. When I asked the desk clerk (who was not the same person who had been on night duty) for directions in finding an address, not only did she give me a map but she also printed out step by step directions. This desk clerk was a pleasant contrast to the young man who had been on duty during the previous evening. She really went over and beyond to help me. (The night clerk would most likely have just given me a map ... assuming he was even at the counter to begin with). My overall experience would have been better if I could have had a hot bath. At the very least, I would have liked having the folding luggage rack replaced so that I didn't have to open my suitcase on the floor.

Very good for what I needed

stayed here the night before flying out to Panama....the hotel is relatively new, very clean, and everything worked , desk clerk was friendly, welcoming and even helped me get my cell phone back in working order. Shuttle service to and from the airport was friendly and efficient. The area is full of hotels but very few places to eat....you have to drive about 5 miles or so to find a choice of restaurant, which could be a problem for some...

A short stay for a test
Posted Jan 30, 2013
Pros: the large bed
Cons: tv wasn't the best of quality
Location: middle of nowhere. took 25 minutes to walk to the supermarket because i needed to buy some water (which the hotel didn't provide any complementary)
I was in town to take a test. The general quality of the room was definitely not first priority on my mind. It was, in fact, very pleasing and comfortable enough that I didn't think otherwise. The staff was nice and the complementary breakfast was a cherry on the top despite the quality. I would definitely recommend having some kind of transportation because the hotel was located in the middle of nowhere. In the end, I liked my time spent there.
