Location: Air Force Academy, Focus on the Family, Cave of the Winds, Santa's Workshop
Mold in bath, Broken leg on table, Scratched furniture due to decades of use in spite of being the MORE updated Executive Tower. Took FOUR hours to get roll-away bed even with 3 staff reps "working" on it. Worn through carpet and not cleaned in areas for extensive time. Ice machine not operative. A few thousand dollars would go a long way to improve first impression, but realy needs major renovation.

Wonderful!Posted Sep 18, 2014
Cons: The pool is in the lobby and was very loud right next to the dining area. Not sure how people could relax by the fire with all of the echoing noise.
The room was very comfortable, clean, updated and spacious. The lobby was great.. fireplace, restaurant/bar with great food and pleasant service. Only downside is the pool is also in the lobby, sounds like a great idea but there were quite a few young kids in the pool really enjoying themselves and were quite loud. It echoed through the lobby and I am not sure how anyone could relax in the lounge area or by the fire with that racket. Also, it distracted from our dinner experience at the restaurant. The food was wonderful! Dinner at the restaurant and breakfast buffet was a must! A lot of options on the buffet very fresh warm and better than most restaurants!

Full service hotel but disappointing roomsPosted Sep 17, 2014
Cons: Housekeeping & bathroom cleanliness.
Location: Colorado Springs is a great area. Hotel has many eating & shopping choices nearby.
The full service of this hotel is the good part but several things happened that made our stay disappointing. When we arrived, there were no luggage carts readily available (you specifically have to ask for them) so we had to carry all our luggage to our room by hand. Disappointing after staying in lots of hotels on this trip with carts available. Next, our bathroom was not clean. The counters in the bath and with the microwave were not clean, the light switches and areas had not been cleaned in years (it looked like to us). There were soap and food splatters on the walls - again not cleaned in some time. I normally do not say bad things about a hotel but this was gross. I called the front desk and told them - they apologized and said they would have staff clean this when we were gone for the day (we were staying a second night). We came back and beds had been made, but wet towels were still on the floor and all the things previously mentioned were still there. We were given a voucher for a free drink in the hotel lounge, but we gave up on reporting this. The parking is not great, either. It is free but not convenient to rooms and doors. The pool is right in the middle of the atrium and hotel lobby and was mostly occupied with kids/parents. The breakfast was good. Again, I do not normally complain about hotels but having the bathroom not appear clean is not good.

Was not the best. There were no towels at the pool area, had to ask twice and took over an hour to get them. Not overly friendly staff. The cook who made breakfast was very friendly and very nice other then him no one else was that significant. Hotel is run down and has a bad odor.

ComfortPosted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The breakfast was the best as well as the service associated with it.
Cons: What I said above as to room being noisy be cause lack of sound proofing.
Location: A good central location for our needs.
The breakfast was awesome. The only thing is the rooms are not sound proof and we felt we were in the next room as well as ours. first night they had their TV on until 1 in the morning as well as a crying baby at 2 and at 6am. I can understand when a baby wakes in the night but it was so noticeable because of bad sound proofing. that was for 2 nights. The other nights we had persons who were not so noisy. Price was reasonable. The business room needs to be able to hook up printers to the computers. The staff were very good.

Great place to stay!Posted Sep 12, 2014
We were very pleased with the hotel. The atmosphere and friendliness of the staff was outstanding. Cookies and a fire in the fireplace, lemon water and orange water all available in the lobby upon arrival. Our room was very comfortable and clean. There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel. We plan to stay there again when we are visiting our grandson.

Great Dinner and BreakfastPosted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: As an Army brat, it's comforting to be around lots of military personnel and their families. Also breakfast omelettes.
Cons: Ice machine reportedly always broken?
Location: Very close to the Air Force Academy and easy drive to Manitou Springs and Garden of the Gods.
Love the way the lobby is set up, dining area, sports bar, sunken fireplace discussion area, swimming pool. Various floor levels within the lobby create separate spaces while still giving a feeling of lots of people being together and enjoying different activities. Dinner and breakfast are really fabulous. Also has washers and dryers. Proximity to Air Force Academy is great.

Nice hotel with amazing breakfast included!Posted Sep 12, 2014
We enjoyed our stay. It's obvious they are updating so that's nice to see. Breakfast buffet was great. We could smell it from our room every morning. We would stay again.

Great locationPosted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: The common areas are beautiful, with room to sit in large groups. The fireplace is a welcoming gathering spot.
Cons: The pool area should be walled in to reduce the noise to the rest of the common areas.
Location: Right off the interstate but no road noise. Close to Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, and the AF Academy. Downtown Colorado Springs is minutes away.
Our top floor room had a view of the mountains. The bedding was luxurious and very comfortable. The bathroom and carpet needed refreshing. The breakfast buffet had a delicious assortment of fresh-made food and a great omelet chef.
