Good Hotel for the Price

The room was clean. Staff was friendly. One complaint would be the internet. Connection was not reliable. Everything else was good.

Hotel needs Major remodel and updates

I think I paid too much for the quality I recieved.The bed was old and some of the lights didn't work. the soap provided was like using Lava and there was no fan in the bathroom.The towels were very scratchy and there weren't near enough of them.The room had no TV guide and I expected many more channels than I got, there was no CNN,MSNBC or Fox news channels. Overall I think that the place has some potential but has quite a long way to go until I'll stay there again.

Awful place~wouldn't recommend it or ever stay the

Pros: Nothing, other than the price.
Cons: See above.
Location: It was a dive in a not so nice area.
It seemed to be a very shady place. I was worried about having my truck parked out front. the bed was NOT comfortable and I could hear everything from upstairs. In the morning there was trash and beer bottles over flowing in the trash can.

We are sorry that the neighbors above you bothered you, if you would have let us know - we would have gladly put a phone call in to them. As for your vehicle, it was quite safe in our parking lot. The owners drive Lexus and Benz and there are 21 cameras in the parking lot itself. There has never been an issue with vehicles and break-ins. As for the trash that was outside the next morning, we do what we can to ensure that people do not litter and we apologize for the mess.

A Place that Made Us Feel Welcome

Pros: We enjoyed getting to know the owners. I was impressed by the hard work they are doing to renovate, and create a safe environment.
Cons: We would have liked a more substantial continental breakfast; fruit, bagels, and yogurt would be more to our liking.
Location: There are many restaurants in the area. We saw interesting attractions, including Garden of the gods (no cost), Cave of the Winds, and Pike's Peak.
The owners and their staff were friendly and helpful to us during our stay. The motel was affordable and convenient to us (central to the city's attractions). Our room was comfortable.

Slum ! Worth $19.95 per night

Homeless people loitering about the parking area and "lobby". The building is apparently used to house welfare cases. Note in the lobby states "coffee is for daily guests only!".

We are sorry that the homeless still decide to "camp out" in our area and we have security to ensure that it was not a regular thing happening. As for the coffee bar, we do offer it to all clients, we simply ask for a donation from the weekly customers.

I did not care for the location of the hotel. The area looked poor. I felt unsafe with cars coming in and out of the parking lot.

I am sorry that you were unhappy with the location of the motel. While the old saying is "never judge a book by its cover", we make sure that our motel is safe & secure; we even have security that walk the grounds during the evening hours. Many vehicles in the area do believe that they can simply turn around through our parking lot and realize they can not. As for the additional security of our motel, we have 21 cameras outside that record all activities as well as the 12 cameras in the office. Several staff members live on-site and we ensure the safety of all clients that come and visit us.

nicer of the hotels in a scary neighborhood

cigarette butt found on the floor of non-smoking room; water did not get hot in bathtub but when I complained about it I was told I must be mistaken. there was a confusion with my registration through hotels.com. I chose this hotel because it was close to where my family member lived but didn't know that right across the freeway all of the hotels were in a dangerous neighborhood. Sirens, liquor stores.....

As for the neighborhood, I can not help the local businesses but our hotel is a safe environment because we have security that walk the grounds at night time. As with any city, there are chances of sirens going off because of accidents that happen in the surrounding area.
