Pros: Not much
We stayed at several Best Westerns on our Vaca this year with this one being the worst. It is outdated and I would not have booked had I know the rooms had outside access. We felt safer in the hotels where the rooms were inside and for women traveling alone this was important to us. Only fast food was nearby for restaurant choices. The hotel staff were very nice.

Spacious rooms, phenomenal staff!

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: I liked the layout of the room and the exceptional staff at the front desk.
Cons: I would update, but they are in the process of doing that, so I wouldn't change anything!
Location: Very nice little town. We were just passing through so we didn't get to see or do anything in town. We will definitely stop here again.
They are doing renovations right now, so there are lots of improvements going on. Annie, at the front desk was SO helpful, kind, and friendly. The rooms are specious and clean. It is an older hotel, but the style of it is nostalgic and we found it very comfortable!

Business trip and needed hotel

Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: The staff were great
I don't normally stay at Best Western hotels as they can vary so much, but there was little choice in Columbia. Hotel turned out to be reasonably priced and accommodation quite adequate for the price point. Nice hot breakfast etc and staff very helpful and attentive to our needs - they couldn't really have been much better to be honest! I will certainly stay again when having to visit the area

Nice hotel for the price

Posted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: The jacizzy and the free breakfast.
Cons: Either the volume of the TV or a quieter jacuzzi.
Location: Its in the heart of Columbia, Kentucky. A lot of fast food chains nearby.
When I checked in, the staff was friendly andthepp welcome area was clean. The room was amazing. It had a refrigerator and a microwave. Neither of these ammedities were listed so I didn't bring any food to reduce my dining expenses. The jacuzzi worked great! Just the ticket after a hard days work. However the jacuzzi was a little on the loud side so I wasn't able to watch TV and enjoy the jacuzzi. The free breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, and biscuits and gravy. All in all, an excellent room for a cheap price. p

Stayed two nights.

Posted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: It was in a quite location. It was also in walking distance to several fast food restaurants if you were hungry.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: As mentioned above, it is in a quiet location next to a police station with several fast food restaurants within walking distance.
We went to Kentucy for a wake for a family member. We made reservations the day before our arrival. This hotel is in a very small town. We asked the desk clerk where, besides a fast food place, we could eat and he recommended a Mexican restaurant called Pablo's. The food and service were excellent. We were a little disappointed that we couldn't have a Margarita with our meal since it is a dry county.

Nice hotel in a convenient location

Posted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: neatness close proximity to restaurants and stores.
Cons: Ice machine on second floor need repair, and handicapped facilities need to be installed.
Location: restaurants and stores
No vacancies on first floor. Our room was on the second floor. There was no elevator or ramp for anyone who is handicapped or has trouble climbing stairs. The ice machine on the second floor was not working. We had to go back down the stairs to get ice. I hope the ice machine gets repaired and that handicapped facilities can be made available.

OK place to stay in this area of Kentucky

Posted Jul 12, 2013
Pros: Mostly clean. Quiet.
Cons: Furniture needs updating. Breakfast could be better.
Location: In a small Kentucky city. Several fast food restaurants nearby - I don't eat at them - and grocery stores and mall stores.
Relatively nice place with nice parking lot and overall appearance. The table in my room just about folded up when I moved it away from the AC unit, so not too sturdy. Morning of checkout I killed a "beetle" wandering across the bedroom floor toward the bathroom. No exercise facility. Did a room workout and jogged around the parking lot. Breakfast was reconstituted eggs and paper thin bacon. Works, but not the kind of meal that calls you back to stay at the place again.

Pleasantly surprised

Posted Nov 18, 2012
Very pleasantly surprised withl experience. I was looking for pet-friendly lodging which caused me to book here. The price was very good and the overall condition of the property was excellent. Breakfast included hot options, which is always a nice feature. Staff was cheerful and welcoming.
