“Comfortable, family-oriented motel”

When I visit family in Columbia, this motel is my favorite place to stay. It feels homey, has an indoor pool with separate jacuzzi,a small exercise room, a free breakfast buffet, and free high speed wireless internet, a refrigerator and microwave in each room, with very comfortable beds and very reasonably priced for what it offers. It is also very quiet, which is amazing considering that it is right off a major highway. It is near the VA and the University of South Carolina Medical School, and near many eateries and a small mall, but it is not near any movie theaters or entertainment venues, but each room has cable TV, and three cineplexes are 5 to 10 minutes drive away. There is also use of a printer and a fax machine for business travelers, although there are small charges for this.

Nice comfortable hotel amongst a group of other hotels. This one seemed to be VERY popular with families. It had an indoor pool and hot tub that was in frequent use. Had a nice bathtub and was really clean all around.

“Coould have been better”

Hotel was clean, but seemed a little dated for the price. Pool was small and breakfast could have definitely been better, was not stocked well and the server could not keep up with the demand. Coffee kept running out as well as everything else, including plates. Server was not the most pleasant, unless you spoke spanish, then she would cater to you. I don't speak spanish, so we were not helped. Don't misunderstand, the server could speak english quite well, she just catered to those who spoke her native language. I would recommend this hotel because overall it was clean and the front desk staff were nice and helpful, but I would also let people know there are many hotels in the same area.

“It was a room...”

Overall the hotel was an average moderately priced place to spend a couple of nights. The workout room was very small, with poor equipment. The pool was in-doors and not comfortable in the hot summer. The room was adequte and the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was good.
