“OK for the price”

The Hotel had some nice perks. Free newspapers in the lobby and a nice breakfast. There was an old crack in the bottom of the bathtub. That really didn't affect the function of the bathtub as a shower. I never tested it as a bath. I reported it to the front desk and they seemed aware of it.

“Love Columbia”

Clerk at desk did not know password was need for wifi. Had to carry my laptop up to desk to show it was asking for password. She had to call someone to ask if a password was needed. Also, phone did not work in room. Otherwise stay was great and room was great.

“Really bad experience”

Cockroaches, bathroom really nasty. Breakfast dismal. Never go back there.

“worst visit ever”

The staff and manager were very rude. They moved us back and forth from room to room due to tv not working, and the desk clerk not knowing how to use the computer. They had no extra towels for the room or the pool. The shower rod was held in place with q-tips. Would have checked out, but at 8pm on a Friday, there were no hotels with rooms in the area needed. I have registed a complaint with Day Inn. Would never recommend this facility.

“Columbia, SC's best hotel”

I arrived late due to airline delays - calling the hotel was a very nice experience for a tired traveler as the person I spoke with was very warm and sympathetic - she said not to worry as they had my room all ready for me - The room was very clean and in excellent condition!! I would definitely stay there again and definitely recommend it to others!!

I'm not that familiar with this city, and my trip actually involved staying the remainder of my vacation in another city.

Shoney's had a fabulous buffet consisting of nearly all southern specialties that was top quality!!

“Masters”

We booked this room for our trip to the Masters and I was very pleased. The price was great and the convenience of the location was great as well. We were 10 minutes from downtown Columbia where there are great restaurants and night life and we were only 50 minutes from Augusta. The location is great because it is right by the major highway we needed to take to get to Augusta. I was very pleased with this hotel and would recommend to anyone going to Augusta to see the Masters.

Area recommendations

Would definitely recommend driving the 10 minutes to downtown Columbia to the Ale House and Wild Wings. Two great places to eat.

“Days Inn West Columbia”

Outside looked OK but rooms are in need of full remodel. Smelled and felt old. Not the worst place but I'll look elsewhere next time. Actually left a night early on a prepaid stay to spend a more restful night at my next stop.
