Pros: Price. Friendliness of checking in.
Location: Near shopping and restaurants and Interstate 70.
Above average room for price. The room with two queen beds was unusually large. Two floors, but no elevator. From our room it was a very long walk to the far end of the hotel for ice and beverages. Breakfast looks unappetizing. Coffee cups very small. Wake-up call was 8 minutes late.

outdated and horrible smell

The motel is in a run down location, and is outdated/deteriorating.There was a horrible smell when we walked into the room. A woman was at the front desk filing a complaint that she'd been charged 4 times the rate she had agreed upon. The smell in the room was over-powering, but there were no other rooms in all of Columbia because it was parents weekend. Our items in our suitcases smelled like that smell when we returned home and unpacked. Bathroom was old and had been cleaned when we arrived. Everything worked in it. There was a burn mark in the carpet shaped like an iron. The smell seemed to be coming from the fan blower itself when you got close to it. The air in the room felt damp and musty. I wonder if they placed an air freshener inside of the blower that mixed with a musty smell? Breakfast was not hot and was in a small room near the lobby. We ate breakfast somewhere else. There were some good restaurants nearby like Olive Garden , Red Lobster, and Cheddars. It was on I-70 Business Loop, which was convenient, however, during rush hour, you could not turn left out of the hotel entrance due to the traffic and lack of a traffic light. We paid close to $150 per night, and had reserved 2 nights (unrefundable). We left to go home after spending only one night. Would not recommend this motel unless there are no others available.

Musty and moldy

Cons: Too much to talk about.
Location: Located near the mall, and the major park, but you wouldn't be able to take staying there.
The hotel was dirty on the outside, and on the inside. When we checked in, late in the night, there were people hanging outside of the hotel. Parts of the lot were messed up and cluttered with debris. The room was smelly and had several stains on the bed linen. I wouldn't want to board prisoners there, let alone my family. Stay away!

Bed was as hard as a rock. The carpet seemed unclean. Hotel was in the process of being redone. It needs it. There were wires in pipes on the ceiling. Everything seemed worn out. However, it had been cleaned.

Adequate for our needs

Stayed here while moving our daughter into her dorm at MU. We had 2 rooms, a/c didn't work in 1, both had a little bit of a funky smell, but not bad enough to worry about switching rooms/hotels. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Didn't have time to check out the pool. I'd stay there again if I couldn't find something closer.

Bringing our daughter to Mizzou, so emotions running high. Hotel was clean and room was comfortable. Close enough to stores and easy access to get to Mizzou. A great value!
