Rooms were clean and impressive. Not having to deal with those nasty comforters is a great plus. Impressed with flat screen TV

On our 2nd night we found a medium size old blood stain on the bed sheets

It was conveniently located to everything I was looking for in the area.

“Disappointed”

I reserved a non-smoking room. Upon my arrival, the clerk told me all he had was a smoking room. He offered me a bottle of a Febreze-type product to spray in there myself. He didn't care. While my husband was downstairs to pick up the spray bottle of Febreze-type product, he waited while an unhappy customer was telling the desk clerk that the room he had been given was already occupied and the room was double-booked. The toilet overflowed later. My husband asked for a mop and the clerk at the front desk said she didn't know where one was. She didn't offer any assistance or bother to look for one either. With the exception of the kind lady at the breakfast, the staff didn't seem to care about the needs of the consumer. I will not be using Holiday Inn Express again. I am very disappointed.

“Kind staff but horrible experience.”

When I arrived, I was not given the two bed, nonsmoking room that I had booked on Expedia. The only choices were a king room with a pullout that was nonsmoking OR a two double bed room that was smoking. I had to have 2 beds so I took the smoking room and our pj's smelled like smoke the next day. During the night, around 11:30, about 20 people on our floor came in yelling, laughing, and talking loudly for the next two hours. They continually went in and out of each other's rooms, allowing the doors to slam over and over again, reverberating throughout the hall. I called to complain twice and the person at the desk came up and asked them to be quiet. I slept about 3 hours. The next day, I asked to change rooms since the 'loud' group was not leaving and I wanted a nonsmoking room. The kind staff member finally moved us to the totally nonsmoking third floor. We had our two bed nonsmoking room at last but the air conditioner did not work, and the compressor came on and off every couple of minutes making a loud buzzing noise in an attempt to kick on. Also, we were next to a storage room that had some sort of generator (sounded like a farm tractor idling in the room) which kicked on every few hours and ran for about 15 minutes. When I called to ask about getting this turned off, they said that they had heard the same complaint from guests in the past, but nobody on staff knew what actually made the noise, and they couldn't turn it off. dirty carpet, lousy breakfast
