“it was nice”
i love and i recommend, is nice and clean
“Great Hotel for Great Price!”
Rodeway Inn & Suites was really a great place. I was nervous about it, but upon arrival, I noticed it was in a pretty convenient area that was still pretty peaceful. The service was great. The personnel were courteous, friendly, and helpful. The room was fantastic! Very well kept and neat, the bathroom area was clean and very roomy. It was also not too far from the Fort Jackson Military Base (We took like maybe 3 streets and we were there) and so that made it even more convenient for us. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to stay close to the base for cheap. Our prices were pretty good for two persons and its all worth it. I'll probably stay there again in the future.
“Not impressed”
We were expecting a better room and ammenities. The "continential breakfast" consisted of a slice of bread or a muffin, coffee and apple juice that was DARK brown(nothing I ever saw before), or oj that was very tart! I expected more from a hotel that was book though expedia.
“Good if on a tight budget -nothing fancy”
The hotel was nothing fancy, but my room was clean and everything worked. I was on a small budget and was not expecting anything ritzy. That's what I got. Front desk service was very courteous and helpful. I got lost in the dark & rain on the way in from the airport -It's not at all close to the airport but pretty close to Fort Jackson. Driving in Columbia is not all that easy, and I have experience as a courier in Minneapolis. The roads are seldom straight, change names frequently and not well marked. I called the front desk and they talked me in to the place. Very nice of them to do so.
“VERY CONVENIENT LOCATION TO GATE 1 OF FT. JACKSON ARMY BASE”
THE ICE MAKERS ON EITHER LEVEL OF THE HOTEL WERE OUT OF SERVICE. THE REFRIGERATOR IN OUR ROOM WOULD NOT COOL UNTIL I TURNED IT JUST PAST THE COLDEST SETTING HOWEVER, THE DOOR OF THE FRIG DIDN'T CLOSE COMPLETELY. WE DIDN'T REPORT THIS BECAUSE WE WERE NOT IN THE ROOM VERY MUCH, & WE HAD AN ICE CHEST; WE JUST PUT A TOWEL ALONG THE TOP AND DOWN THE SIDE IN AN ATTEMPT TO KEEP THE BABY'S FOOD & MID-NIGHT SNACKS COOL. THE AIRCONDITIONER WAS VERY LOUD BUT IT DID KEEP THE ROOM COOL. THE CONDITION OF THE BLDG APPEARED TO ME THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN CLOSED FOR SOMETIME & RECENTLY REOPENED BUT I THINK THE CONDITIONS WILL GET BETTER AS TIME GOES BY. THE OWNERS SEEM TO BE WORKING TO IMPROVE THE BLDG. ALTHOUGH, THERE WAS A SECTION IN THE BACK OF THE BLDG THAT WAS DAMAGED, POSSIBLY HIT BY A TRUCK. I CALLED THE HOTEL BEFORE ARRIVING AND THE ATTENDENT THAT ANSWERED THE PHONE COULDN'T UNDERSTAND ENGLISH SO SHE PUT SOMEONE ELSE ON THE PHONE THAT I COULD UNDERSTAND VERY WELL.
“below average”
We checked into the room and were about to leave to go find something to eat. We closed the door then checked it to make sure it locked. The door pushed open. We tried again. Same thing. We found the manager and he tried to fix the problem. No luck. He asked if we wanted to change room, duh!
“review”
There was hair in one of the beds, and it wasn't mine. Yuck.
“hotel sucked”
Our room never got cleaned by cleaning service I had to call front desk every day call for fresh towels n clean sheets. Continental breakfast was just coffee!!!! I would not recommend this hotel at all. Spend more n gi some place cleaner and nicer
“Not Going to Return”
Breakfast is a joke, there is just fruit loops and muffins. The whole hotel was just sketchy looking and I felt like cockaroaches would be crawling on me if I fell asleep. The people don't understand english well either.
“DUMP”
We were traveling/driving from Florida back to our Home State (OHIO) only stayed @ this Hotel as we we're getting to tired to drive. The place was really filthy, could feel the floor boards under carpet broken, place was a real "Dump" really out-dated,could use alot of repairs,re-painting,new bedding & re-decorating!!! My self & my children slept on-top of the bedspreads in our clothes because i just did not feel comfortable here @all :(
