“This hotel gives you everything you need at the lowest price in that town.”
I was invited to go see my friend graduate from Army Basic Training at Fort Jackson, and since it was a decision I made about a week before, I need to travel 1000 miles from Texas to South Carolina on the cheap. This hotel was the cheapest, and earlier reviews on other websites indicated that alot of things could go wrong, such as uncleaned rooms, no hot water, or odd smells. Knowing not to expect much, I still booked the room because it also had great flexibility in case I canceled my trip at the last minute and wanted to cancel the reservation (up until 4pm of that very day). As soon as I got there at around 9pm, I checked in quickly, got my room. First sign of trouble was that the main light switch didn't work, no lights turned on. However, they had plenty of other lamps and lights near the bed and desk and those worked. That ended up being my only real problem. Everything else about my hotel room--how tidy it was, how good the bed and pillows were, the fridge and microwave, the hot water, all those little bars of soaps and shampoos, and tons of towels, and a blisteringly cold A/C, and even a pretty nice LCD-- far exceeded any expectation I had of a hotel that only charged the lowest rate in its area. I recommended this hotel to Army friend's father, he told me the same exact thing. Because it was a large graduation ceremony, alot of people were booked in that hotel that week, and even then I still got a good experience from my stay.
