“Will go elsewhere next time”

It was outdated and dingey, so I couldn't really tell if it was clean or not. There was rust around the door and a general "unclean" feeling, even though the room was probably clean. There was a lot of noise through the night outside my door in the parking lot. Some paint, plaster, and updating could go a long way in this room. Otherwise, the staff was nice and it was conveniently located near the highway and not far from the university. Since I was by myself and only for one night, I lived with it. My wife would have changed hotels. Next time, I'll stay somewhere else.

“Not impressed with the state of the room at all.”

We had a lot of problems with the room. First, the door handle would only work if we pulled UP on the handle. Second, the sink stopper did not have a lever to use, so we had to push down the stopper, then climb under the sink to move the stopper back up. Third, the tub drained VERY slowly the first time we used it, then apparently backed up that night so the tub was filthy the next morning. When I informed the hotel, they were quite apologetic and even sent me a complimentary one-night stay but with an expiration date of eight months earlier!

“First stay was better than the second”

I've stayed at this hotel before and figured for the price it wasn't bad. This last stay though....first off they put me in disgustingly dirty smoking room when I had asked for non smoking. My phone didn't work for me to call the desk. When I called from my cell I was informed that I must have made a mistake when I booked the room, trust me, I didn't. I double checked it. The bedding was rough and stained. The pillows were horrible. The room smelled musty and had cigarette burns everywhere, not to mention it was just grimy. To top the whole night off, my toilet didn't work. It wouldn't flush completely. Needless to say this second stay I had was far from the first. It was flat out horrible. The first time I stayed the room was at least clean.

“I'd like to get my money back”

They gave me a smoking room. I don't smoke & requested another room. Then I got a room where the doorway was behind a stairway. Room was musty, moldy smelling. The shower head came to about the middle of my head. It was way too low. My boyfriend had to squat down to wash his hair & shoulders. No cream rinse. Sink was very low too. It was like that in both rooms. I had them move us. Cereal was very old & stale. I was not very happy at all with this hotel. I definitely would not stay at another one. If I wouldn't have paid ahead of time with a package, I would've gone to another motel.

“They should pay you to stay here!”

I stand by my above complaints -- review. Again -- The room smelled funny. The bathroom was dirty. The sheets were coming off the mattress and smelled funny. Turning the bathroom light on caused a LOUD humming noise throughout the room and scared the children. The traffic on I-70 felt like (from movement and sound) it was going straight through our room. I would NEVER stay at this motel again. Ever....

“Camping may have been a step up from Travelodge”

We were looking for a reasonably priced room for two nights while attending a gymnastics meet in Columbia, Mo. Unfortunately, we would have been better off pitching a tent then staying a Travelodge. My son walked through a cobweb to get to the light switch upon entering the room. We found a long-departed guest's leftovers in the room refrigerator. We assume the leftovers had been in the fridge for about a month, because the clocks had not been set for Daylight Savings time. The battery in the smoke detector was going bad and chirping the first night. The manager ignored our request to change batteries before our second night's stay, so we just removed the batteries. To top it off, we paid a pet deposit fee for two nights upon check-in, but they didn't make record of it, so when we checked out they suggested we'd tried to sneak our pet in, but they'd waive the pet fee because there was month-old leftovers in our fridge.

“great for travelors”

We received excellent service for our needs and directions about the city. We had cold cereal and muffins for breakfast. The coffee was very good favor. I had coffee in the afternoon from the lobby. The room had a queeen bed, small table and 2 chairs for studying and computers. Free internet too! The weather changed our minds about going swimming in the evening. The pool was close to our room. Thank you for providing the service to us!

“Pleasant Stay”

Very pleasant stay. Rooms clean and comfortable. Excellent staff. Slept like a log after our long drive. Breakfast was great and we loved the added bisquits and gravy. We are definetly looking forward to our next stay in September.
