“Pay for a pool you can't use”

Because I had stayed in other properties in this chain with no negatives, I did not bother to read reviews before booking a night here. Mistake. First tho, let me say the layout and quality of the hotel is consistent with other Comfort Suites, the issue seems to be maintenance. Nice sized rooms, good beds, TV, microwave, internet all ok. Bathroom clean, toiletries fine. Very good breakfast choices, nice enough desk clerk. Negatives: ok, a cobweb overhead isnt a big deal, but a web NEST is (we DO get some sizeable spiders in the NW) albeit this one was empty. At a mid level hotel I don't expect HIGH thread count linens, but I do expect CLEAN ones (one of the pillow cases was stained). I understand if the housekeeping staff is also allowed breakfast buffet in the guest dining area, but several at one time, 2 hours before guest serving time ends? The worst was the pool/hot tub. If I had a stick I could have written "CLEAN ME" in the algae in the hot tub (it shows up in the pics I took!) which rendered the pool also suspicious at best, a little cloudy. Sauna was out of order, so much for "spa" time. At that price, I thought I was paying for more than a room. When I got home and looked up reviews of this hotel, I saw the same complaint about the pool from months ago. There are several hotels in Hood River, maybe not all with pools, but with views that would make up for it. Stay elsewhere!

I was in Hood River on family business. This hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly. The room was quiet and the location was convenient. I do, however, think it was a bit pricey for the off-season.

Our family thought this hotel was great. Very clean. Room was larger and nicer than we expected. Continental breakfast was very nice. The staff was very helpful & friendly. For a family with kids looking for a clean friendly hotel this is perfect!

I would definitely return to this hotel in the future as it was easy to reach and very well maintained. The exrtra bonus was a very well stocked free breakfast each morning!

“It was okay, but pricey”

This hotel is mediocre. It was fine for a one night stay, but I wouldn't want to stay longer. Pretty expensive for the quality of the hotel.
