“Great hotel option for a budget”

We needed a spot for one night while we were in Hood River for a wedding. The Sunset Motel was a great location- super easy to find and right off of the freeway. They didn't charge us extra for the additional 2 people in our room or for the extra car. Price was great. Rooms and property are very well maintained. Even comes with a mini frig for those staying longer. Nothing fancy, but a great place nonetheless.

“very good value, everything one needs without extra fluff”

This hotel is about half the price of others in Hood River. I liked it because it was very clean, room was large with a fridge and microwave, a Safeway was across the street, and I wasn't paying for extras like a breakfast which at other hotels is often pretty crappy! I preferred the location about a mile from the downtown because it was quiet yet convenient to groceries, restaurants, and the interstate.

“Clean and quiet place to stay”

We stayed here in early April with our 4 young kids. The only negative is that the stairs are a bit rough to pack your stuff up and down. But everything else was great! The rooms were clean. the beds were comfortable, the staff were great. The locaion is nice because it's literally right across the street from McDonalds for breakfast and a block away for Walmart. We didn't hear much road noise at all, being on the second floor we had a great view of Mt. Adams across the gorge. For the price, you can't beat a place like this for a rest in your travel along the gorge.

“Great Value”

We were going on a 4 day mountain bike ride and stayed at this hotel the night before starting out. The hotel was much nicer than we expected for the price and they even let us leave our car in the parking lot until we got back.

We spent one night passing through the area and the room was exactly what one would want; clean, quiet and a nice view of the garden out back

“Quiet & comfortable”

The room was clean and the property as a whole was well maintained. The location is quiet, which is a big plus over larger places that might be a little closer to the downtown area.

“Peaceful family runned hotel”

It was a peaceful atmosphere from the moment we got there. From the warm welcome at the front desk, to the quietness of the other people in the establishment, though it was totally booked. It was a great location to be near stores, MacDonalds, Starbucks and Safeway, and it was just a small jump to the freeway.
