Right in the center of cute Nashville IndianaPosted Nov 6, 2013
Pros: We liked the fact that it ISN'T a cookie-cutter chain hotel. Everyone we met who work there were very nice.
Cons: We had a very small mixup at check out, but it was quickly resolved.
Location: Nashville has lots of artsy-crafty shops. There are 2-3 shops on the property and many more across within the whole few blocks of downtown.
My wife and I stayed here on a Sunday night in early November. It was our first time to Nashville and we enjoyed our stay here very much. We had room 306 which has two queen sized beds and a nice window overlooking the town with the white cupola of the courthouse visible a couple blocks over. The room is decorated in a subdued country style and they used a clever coat rack system that extends to the bathroom and holds up the mirror and cabinet. The beds are fairly tall, but there's a footstool if you need it (we didn't). Breakfast was included with our room and we opted for the buffet -- I had scrambled eggs, sausage, crispy bacon, biscuits and gravy, orange juice, and a bit of muffin and it was all good. The wifi and parking are free and they let you keep your car in their lot the day you check out. Overall, we enjoyed staying here and look forward to going back.

Pros: Close to shops and nice restaurant.
Cons: More comfortable beds and furniture.
Location: Location is great and plenty of shops beautiful area.
It is supposed to be an older looking room and it is, just was ,disappointed in the beds creaky. Also the bathroom vanity just no room for amenities such as curling iron and also no closets. I will research further when staying somewhere. Also was very over priced....

Perfect place to stay!Posted Jul 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Artist Colony Inn was the perfect place to stay as it was in the middle of the shopping district, the décor was cozy, the price was reasonable, great breakfast (included in the price) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely stay there again!

Great location, adequate accommodationsPosted Jul 6, 2013
Artist's Colony Inn is in a great location in downtown Nashville. You can walk to any place you want to go. There is a charming courtyard to relax in surrounded by lovely flowers and plants. The hotel is decorated in a Shaker style, with pegs on the wall, no closet. We found the pegs to be quite handy. There is a bare hardwood floor, with a small rug by the bed. Our main complaint was the bed itself. It squeaked loudly at the slightest body movement. The mattress was supported underneath by 2 "bed jacks", for lack of the proper term. I thought the mattress was pretty comfortable, but my husband did not. He has been plagued by back problems for several years, and did not think the bed offered enough support. There is a restaurant on-site, with a modest breakfast buffet. The other food on the menu looked appetizing and reasonably priced. All in all, we had a pleasant stay at the inn and would recommend it.
