“Captain Rickenbacker's Hideaway”
A very fine but modest hotel is hidden away at a former military airfield, now a commercial air cargo airport, surrounded by warehouses and military reserve facilities. Well maintained, clean, and with a great breakfast room, only a few miles away from the interstate and a series of fast-food places, I enjoyed my week there very much.
“Jean-Jacques MULLER”
Pleasant stay
“Would Visit Again”
The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and the price was perfect!
“Very Impressed”
My mother and I enjoyed our stay at the Baymont. We were very pleased with the courteous staff, clean and comfortable environment, and the breakfast was hot and fresh. We were a little disappointed about the hot tub being out of service but other than that it was awesome. We are planning to return in December.
“A good night's sleep”
The hotel was practically across the street from the place I was working. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even lent me an ethernet cable when I needed one. The make your own waffles for breakfast were outstanding and a very pleasant surprise.
“Great Value - convenient to airport - Friendly staff”
Arrived around midnight. Everything in the room looked clean. The towels and toiletries were well stocked. Breakfast was nice. Make-your-own waffles, fresh fruit, muffins, donuts, cereal, etc. We needed alternate directions back into downtown (to avoid a closed exit) and the front desk did this for us.
“Great hotel for the price!”
This is a great hotel and the price was right too. Everything was nice and clean, modern and nothing is run down. Keep in mind, this place is intended for the industrial area and the freight airport in the area. Nothing is in walking distance and the closest thing to eat is a good 2 or 3 miles away. Don't let that distract you, this really is a nice place.
“A Nice Place to Go For Relaxation and To Get The Job Done”
The overall professionalism from the moment you arrive, Front Desk assistance,Continental Breakfast service, room maintenance, makes arriving for a business trip just what is needed after several hours of travel. The amenities of a nice clean pool area as well as all service machines(ice, food)also helps when you arrive back after a meeting and need to just "relax" for a while. Internet usage is monitored well so that all who need it have access. An overall enjoyable stay !!! (I was there for 4 nights and all this service remained consistent.) I will definitely return when in this area again.
“Would stay there again”
As other reviewers noted, the hotel is by an industrial park and a small airport, with little or nothing for restaurants and attractions. But if all you need is a place to stay south of Columbus, it's great. And it was somewhat less expensive than comparable places in more-populated areas.
“Columbus' Tucked Away Secret”
Awesome hotel for the price! It's a little out of the way of most of the attractions in Columbus, but for us it was perfect. My husband was having an out-patient surgery downtown and a post-op appointment the next day. We needed some place quiet so that he could relax and recover after the surgery. This place was perfect. Very quiet! Our children, ages 9 and 4 were with us as well. They loved the pool. The entire hotel was very clean and the free breakfast was great! Very courteous staff members. We will definitely be back to this hotel for all of our Columbus over-night visits.
