“Not Impressed with the noon desk clerk. Desk area had trash on floor.”

Upon my arrival, desk clerk #1 appeared from the back office. The first room assigned was on the second floor. When I asked for a room change, I was placed on the opposite side of the building in which McDonald's drive thru was located. When I asked for a room change, I was told, "Room check in is not until 3:00p.m. Finally, I was assigned a room on the second floor. I found two bugs in the sink. Upon my return at 6p.m., I ask desk clerk #2 for a room change. He was more professional. He provided a room on the first floor; not facing McDonald's. The location should be changed from a 2.5 rating to a 1.5.

“Do not stay here”

Normally don't write reviews, but have to on this particular hotel...it was pretty bad. Although the front desk was helpful and it was nice to be able to leave your car in the hotel parking lot and be shuttled to airport. There is a minimal fee for the shuttle, which we thought was a good deal until we returned from our trip and dialed the number for the shuttle to pick us up..nobody answered the phone..ended up taking a taxi - no big deal - but was frustrated since we had already paid ahead of time for this service. We felt the need to put a chair against the door at night..just did not feel safe in this hotel. We really just wanted a place to lay our heads for one night before leaving for a vacation...the mattresses did not allow for a restful sleep..we thought instead of a mattress being on the bed, the hotel must have used plywood instead...it was that hard. Also, did not care for the spiders (we found 2) in the room. If I had to do over, I would not stay in this room even if it was free.

“Complimentary shuttle rather expensive!”

Needs a major cleaning overhaul, had all the goods to start a three day stay but was not replenished after that. After day1 no more coffee, no more clean cups to drink out of. Asked the shuttle driver for a ride into downtown Columbus he said it would cost me $20.00 for the two mile ride (thats $10.00 per mile for a complimentary shuttle ride). Stayed at my room and listened to the planes takeoff for the rest of my stay too expensive to go anywhere because the taxis were just as expensive. There is better in Columbus - I know it!

“What a Dump”

I have stayed at several Baymonts and this is the worse. Actually, it is one of the worst of any hotels I have stayed in. I stayed here once before, but not through Expedia so I couldn't leave a review. I only stayed there then because they have a 24 hour shuttle and my flight got in after the other hotels stopped running there shuttles. After that, I said never again. But, this time, I booked through the secret hotels function. When this hotel came up, I considered just forgoing the cost and booking somewhere else. But, since I had a full day of appointments and wouldn't be in the room that much, I went ahead with it. First thing you notice is the carpets are filthy. I wouldn't walk barefoot across them. They were even bunched up in places. The insulation between rooms must be cardboard because I could hear everything my neighbors were saying. The breakfast was in a word, strange. Precooked french toast, muffins and bread all in its own individual baggies...I guess so that they could serve the ones left over the next day without peope noticing they were stale. That night, the hot water went out and was not fixed even by checkout time the next day. When I asked about it, I was told that the boiler was overpowered. Weird. The location was convenient for airport travellers, but very difficult to leave and find the correct route even with my gps. This time, I got a fairly cheap rate which helped, but the first time and usually, their rates are way too high for the quality.

“Needed maintenance”

The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. The room we were assigned to did not have hot water, and we were required to move to another room. Other than the water situation, we were pleasede with our stay.

“Great deal!”

I needed a bed for one night and didn't want to pay $100+ just to lay my head somewhere. My room wasn't fancy, but it was clean, the bed was comfy, and even had a mini fridge! Because it was near the airport I could hear planes taking off/landing, but it didn't bother me as I'm a heavy sleeper. If you're a little more sensitive to such things, this would not be an ideal location for you. But for me, it was perfect and well within my budget!

“Never Again”

This Baymont is old, rundown, dirty, and noisy. I decided not to shower on my one night there because I feared I would feel dirtier coming out the shower than I did going in! The continental breakfast was just weird; everything had been broken down into little baggies, there was no juice, tea, water (only milk), and the breakfast tables were covered with miscellaneous items. To give a balanced review, I will in all fairness state that the two desk clerks I encountered were efficient, polite, and friendly. Also, I did appreciate the complimentary airport shuttle, which apparently runs 24/7.

“Great Experience”

Everything in the room was great, there was one incident with a bug when we first got there, but we couldnt find anymore for the rest of the entire stay. Would recommend to my friends and would stay again

“Great bargin for the price”

Quiet, clean. and comfortable stay. Quick courteous check in and check out by staff. Convenient to airport with free parking and fast nearby foods.
