“Kids + pooch + nice beds = EVERYONE was happy!”
Our family of 6 + dog stayed here one night, on our way back to WI from GA. The location was convenient - not too crowded, but not too far off the highway, either. Plenty of recognizable fast food joints and gas stations surround this hotel, as well as several other big name hotel chains.GREAT pool for the kids (14, 12, 10, and 8). The staff made sure we had connecting rooms for our big family. That doesn't always happen, believe it or not! Only glitch was one of the doors connecting to the other room would not stay open, and would lock when it closed. We propped it open with a suitcase.
The beds were comfortable, and very simple. No outdated, tacky comforter that looked like it had been on the bed for years without being washed. Just simple blankets, and plenty of decent pillows.
Negative: size of the bathroom. The bathroom sink is on an angle, to maximize space.Tight fit. It's dated, caulked a few too many times, but still seemed clean.
The breakfast buffet was, simple. Coffee was good. Biscuits were hard as rocks. Eggs were refilled with another bag of eggs. Overall, there was enough variety with cereal, juices, and muffins to find something to eat. Staff person was very nice at the buffet.Covered entryway was great for loading up car when it was raining the next day. We also brought our dog, who smelled lots of other dogs in the hall, but no traces of pets from the past were in our room; only a dog would know. Our first time staying at a Best Western went just fine.
