Bathroom was outdated and bath did not drain well. Whirlpool water looked dirty. Restaurant tables were washed with a very dirty rag. Service by wait staff was good. Manager was a bit snarky about running out of Buffet food and plates on Sunday.

Great Stay

Hotel was convenient to my destination. Staff was very friendly and skillful, room was clean and comfortable. Hotel situated around a lovely pool (HUGE) hot tub, miniature golf course, all indoors. I did not travel with my pet, but hotel is pet friendly. Interior is delightfully decorated--very unique.

We definitely have a unique hotel in the fact that it is decorated and setup differently than most hotels on the market today and due to the fact we offer so many different amenities. We are a pet friendly hotel. More guests are traveling with their pets these days and it makes it nice when a hotel is accommodating for this reason. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us here at the Clarion and I hope that if you are in the area again that you will stay with us again.

Affordable & conveniences abound

This is a great place to stay with a young family. Big pool, nice hot tub, mini golf and space to roam. The restaurant is quite, nice and affordable. The free breakfast buffet was excellent. The best I have had in a longtime. Wonderful service & delicious options. I even got my haircut in the hotel. A gem of a place to stay in a surprisingly vibrant small Indiana "city".

The hotel offers so many different amenities such as a full-service restaurant, bar, pool, hot tub, game room and putt-putt course just to mention a few. And yes, we even do have a place where you can get your haircut. We pride ourselves on great customer service and I am so pleased that you were able to enjoy your stay with us. Decent hotel

Cons: It is showing its age. I was in the old motel part of the building. It served its purpose and was reasonably priced.
Room was clean and the staff was friendly. The entire facility needs to be updated.

Nice location but below average hotel

It's very nice location. Hotel ambiance is good too but rooms on back side of hotel sucks. Lot of noice and smoking smell. Room was also blow average. Overall ok experience for the cost I paid.

Thank you for sharing your comments about your recent stay with us. I was sorry to read that you did not like the exterior room that you stayed in. It seems that our guests either love or hate the exterior rooms that are part of the original section of the hotel. The noise level can be increased especially if your room faces the wall that makes up the conference center portion of the hotel. As for the smell of smoke, the property is a non-smoking facility. Unfortunately, there are those guests that will decide to smoke anyway. I am glad that your overall experience was ok. I would suggest that the next time that you stay with us here at the Clarion that you request an interior room or a room in the tower section of the hotel.

Breakfast wasn't too good, it was probably scaled down due to the mid morning Easter buffet, but everything else was great!

Thank you for commenting about your recent stay with us here at the Clarion. I was sorry to read that you did not enjoy the breakfast that was available during Easter weekend. It was scaled down somewhat due to the hotel hosting the Easter brunch. Normally on Sunday the breakfast is quite good with the added waffle and omelet station. I hope that when you are in the area again that you will choose to stay at the Clarion.

Didn't have access to pool area 1 day as they were having a private party, didn't seem fair to the regular guest

This seems to sometimes be an issue when we have a conference in-house that requests to have a meal around the pool area. The hotel does have to close the pool area down during the time of the particular event. The Front Desk/Reservations should have notified you upon making your reservation that the pool was going to be closed or unavailable for a potion of your stay. I am sorry that they did not inform you of this ahead of time. I hope that everything else was fine with your stay and that you will not let this one instance with the pool being closed for a special function keep you from staying here at the Clarion in the future.

Will never stay again

Our bathroom door didn't shut. Or toilet barely flushed. Our room was put by housekeeping and we couldn't sleep due to all the carts going back and forth all night. And the housekeeping staff yelling all night. Will not be staying here again. Waste of money!

I would like to thank you for taking the time to comment about your recent stay. I was sorry to read about the issues that you experienced in regards to the bathroom door not closing and the toilet barely flushing. I already have the maintenance department looking into fixing both of these issues. As for your room being right next to the housekeeping department. The staff in the housekeeping department does sometimes work until 10pm, but that is the latest time that they work and then they begin working again at 9am the next day, so the carts and the yelling could not have been going on all night because the last shift clocks out at 10pm and it is my guess that the yelling that you heard was possibly coming from guests and not employees. I will make sure to speak with the Executive Housekeeper to make sure that he evening work staff keeps it quiet and refrains from yelling.
