A Suite Stay for our Congress tripPosted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Room was clean.
Cons: Could just stand be updated. Our mini fridge had no shelves, but it kept drinks cold. I have never seen a smaller microwave.
Location: It was only about 6 or 7 miles away from the State Fairgrounds. Just a few miles from Polaris Parkway, where there is a ton to do.
Our family of 4 was visiting the Ohio State Fairgrounds for the All-American Quarter Horse Congress. We stayed in a Queen Suite which provided ample room for us. The hotel itself was pretty dated, but the room was clean. Unfortunately, it was also OSU homecoming weekend, so the noise was a little more than we typically would desire. Convenient to restaurants and grocery.

Not a very nice place...Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Sadly, there wasn't anything that I actually liked.
Cons: The facilities need updated.
Location: Ohio State campus is only a few miles away and there are some good restaurants within a 5 or 10 minute drive.
The hotel looks pretty terrible on the outside and while it is better on the inside, it still isn't anything to brag about. The rooms are pretty old and there are too many things that just need updated. I also happened to forget a toothbrush and they didn't even have any there for the guests. It just wasn't a very good experience. I would only recommend this place as a last resort if all other places in the area are booked up.

DisappointingPosted Oct 20, 2014
Cons: Start by cleaning!
Location: All American Quarter Horse Congress
We had to wait longer with only one person in front of us than we should have at check in. Elevator smelled horrible. Carpet was dirty and stained. Sheets were dirty on one of the beds! Had to have additional towels brought up as there was only one bath towel in a room for three people. There was hair in multiple locations. This room was way over priced as half of what we paid wouldn't have made it any better. Also one of the head boards that was mounted to the wall fell off the wall with a huge crash in the middle of the night. Hotel staff said "sorry".

Pros: It,s location to the Ohio State Fair grounds and it's overall price.
Cons: If there's a Ohio State football game the same weekend as the Quarter Congress add staff for the breakfast bar.
Location: Staying here the last two years we have not had a problem finding a good restauraunt close bye. Staying previous near the airport it was aproblem.
This is the second year in a row we have stayed here.

Columbus StayPosted Oct 20, 2014
Cons: pool and buffet
There weren't any towels in the pool and when we went to the desk they said they don't have anymore. The breakfast buffet was way understaffed. There was one person taking care of it. It was very messy, not coffee or juice, and limited food.

DisappointingPosted Oct 14, 2014
After viewing the website I expected the room to be nicer than it actually turned out to be. There were hairs in the bathtub, the beds were not comfortable and the back wasn't on the remote so you had to be careful so the battery wouldn't fall out.

Below average hotelPosted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Breakfast and the attendant
Cons: Water pressure in shower; mold removal from bathtub
Location: Bob Evans restaurant across the street
Outside grounds cluttered with trash; smokers sit on bench/stand outside front door; mold on soap dish and trim in bathtub; extremely low water pressure in shower; clean towels and bathroom sink/countertop; stairwells dirty; broken light covers throughout building; lobby gives the impression of a well-maintained hotel but not the case

Never againPosted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: 2 employee's Front desks "Joy" and Breakfast hostess "Carolyn" and breakfast.Location right off expressway close to my daughter who lives there.
Cons: Updating everything except pool area that was nice (when the crasy people weren't there).
Location: Shopping, good mexican restaurant and other's were in walking distance.
.I was very disappointed with this hotel. First when I called when we were about 1o mins. away for directions I asked if we could check in early (It was 2:15pm) she said NO check in is 3:00pm. We did stop so we could check it out and use the restroom(just drove for 6 hours) While walking around the front desk person "Joy" said I can check you in. She made my day. We wasn't impressed with the decor and it diffently needs to be updated. Once we got to our room it was ok and our window looked out at a brick wall. Breakfast hostess Carolyn was very friendly. Breakfast was good. We stayed for 4 nights prepaid. On Saturday, they had a lrage group and the noise and trash they left behind was discussing. They were so loud in the pool area we couldn't use. Later when we did they was one Mother for about 15 kids and she couldn't watch the children properly. One child used the life saving orange ring as a toy. Towels all over. Elevator floor so sticky we stuck to the floor. They need a makeoveer and new management.
