We stayed at this hotel because of the convent location. We arrived and found a dirty room, with a broken door lock. There was not any hot water. No toilet paper was in the room. The floor was too dirty to take off your socks. If it hadn't been so late, I would have went to a different hotel. I will no longer consider an econolodge.

Reasonable price during OSU gamePosted Oct 5, 2013
Had second thoughts after booking, as some suggested not a very safe neighbour hood (even though we have stayed in some iffy places in the Caribbean and South America). We were merely using as a place to sleep and take a shower over two days. To be on safe side did not leave any valuables in our room. Location easy for getting to OSU games, close suburbs (Upper Arlington, Grandview)...little available without paying outrageous prices during home games. Otherwise, choices would be to stay at 161/Dublin or further yet Delaware area. Room was as quoted, king size bed and non smoking. Appeared clean...decided not to look too closely, cable worked; did not use WIFI but was given password to do so. Bathroom could use a bit of repair....ceiling cracking; fixtures looking tired.. It appeared a major room renovation in process....brand new mattress being moved in when we arrived. The bad....the free breakfast bar looked sad; had not even considered, just as well. Parking spaces at a premium when we returned in the evening...how many cars per room?? Directions from MapQuest/Goggle are terrible...can see it, but if you miss the turn on to the road off Wilson, (beside the Waffle House) will soon be making a right turn on 70 headed to downtown....really did not need that glitch. Perhaps Eco Lodge could provide better directions with their website. This is an ok place; and a reasonable price during Buckeye football season.

Not one we will stay at again.Posted Apr 24, 2013
Pros: close to where we were going
Cons: the condition of the room
Location: kinda hard to get to from the main road. espeically if you don't know where you are going.
Hotel was old, the carpets had lots of stains, the walls had cracks, could see where water had leak through the ceiling. However the bed was very comfortable could have used a couple more pillows the ones we had were very soft so could hardly lay down and watch tv. Had no idea what time they served breakfast.

room without a viewPosted Apr 16, 2013
Pros: Comfortable. Next door to Waffle house.
Cons: Running toilet.
Location: Right off the freeway exit
Toilet ran all night but for cheap comfort was ok-close enough to casino. breakfast runs out fast.

Alcohalics DreamPosted Oct 23, 2012
Pros: Convenience of gas stations within walking distance
Cons: Everything but the gas station locations
Location: 3 gas stations within 1 block, walking distance, and a Waffle House next door
At check in I was told that the room was still being "cleaned" and would not be ready for another 2 hours. After finding something to do for those 2 hours we returned and upon entering the room found 4 holes that had been patched with wall spackl and not painted and only 1 light in the enitre room that was working. When we asked the front desk about the lights they told us "make sure that they are plugged in". I don't feel that making sure the lights are plugged in are the customers responsability. I would NOT recommend this hotel to any of my friends and unless you are fond of the over powering arroma of alchohal first thing in the morning as you exit your hotel room door, you definately DO NOT want to stay here!

Keep Driving!Posted Sep 2, 2012
Pros: Daybreak, so we could leave.
Questionable people hanging around outside, did not feel safe. Rude staff. Furnishings were from the 70s and looked like they came from a thrift store's discard area. Stains on the walls and carpet. Bath towels the size of hand towels. Didn't want to touch anything. Sheets seemed to be clean though. Surprised that a motel chain would want its name associated with this place.

Columbus is a big city...find another place!Posted Apr 3, 2012
Pros: It was close to the interstate.
Cons: No wifi in the rooms, non-smoking room was booked, only had a smoking room available.
Location: The neighborhood is very questionable.
We booked a non-smoking room for the night, but was given a smoking room. With no other rooms available and it being late at nighth we had no choice but to take it. The "free" wifi is only in the office (where there are only a couple of rickety tables) so don't be fooled into thinking the rooms have wifi. Also, and not to particularly fault the motel, but there were kids outside in the halls talking and listening to music until all hours of the night. The neighborhood was questionable, so we didn't feel safe asking them to go away.

BAD HOTEL - STAY AWAYPosted Mar 27, 2012
Garbage hotel. The staff had a bad attitude and was NOT helpful. There were obvious prostitutes standing outside this hotel at night. DO NOT STAY HERE!

One night stopPosted Mar 17, 2012
Cons: Condition of the area and room
There was burn holes on the sheets, blood stains on the linens and bed cover, duct tape around the sink drain, and the door security latch was loose. The location was okay for a one night stop. The breakfast are was the lobby with two tables. It was quite and McDonald's across the street. Was not sure I wanted to try the waffle house. Owners did not know what to do with the tax exempt certificate. The receptionist and manger were nice. Wifi was only if you were close to the lobby or in the lobby. So free wifi is a misnomer.
