“"Clean Though Showing It's Age"”

The Fairfield Inn is clean, close to the university with many food, shopping locations nearby. I was a little worried when we walked in the lobby and the first thing I noticed were the "tired" looking chairs with frayed arms. My room was neat and clean. I was in town for a 3 night business stay and found the breakfast to be more plentiful than some other hotels I've stayed at. The breakfast room was clean and inviting. While this was an older hotel it seems to have been maintained quite well - new furniture in the lobby would go a long way to improving the first impression of the place.

“Dirty; but close to OSU”

The shower curtain liner was mildewed, there were hairs on the pillows and bedding, scuff marks on the walls, there was an odor of cheap men's cologne on the bedding. The proximity to OSU was excellent but next time I am willing to drive a little farther to get a cleaner room.

Area recommendations

Polaris and Easton- because these areas are close to shopping and attractions and are located within better neighborhoods.

“One of the nicest ever.”

I was very impressed with this hotel. It was comfortable and kept up. The king suite had two "mini-rooms" that included the bedroom and living room. The "mini-rooms" each had TVs which were new and large - not like those you normally find in hotels. I travel fairly often and this room is the nicest I have ever stayed in.
