“Spring Break Destination”

The kids have decided that this will be our Spring Break destination from now on.

“Hotel Staff was great!”

The obvious draw is the indoor water park, the room with 2 queen sized beds was pretty basic but the refrigator was at least twice the size of a 'dorm' sized one.

“Nice Hotel but dont think your goina check in early”

Checking in was a nightmare. We could get into the waterpark at 1:00 pm, however, we could not check into the room till 4:00 pm. I waited in a very long line to and was told the room was not available and to check back and once again had to wait in a very long line. There were several other guests who were told the same and voiced their opinions rather loudly. I however, just simply waited. The second time I was able to get into my room. The waterpark was wonderful for the kids and I felt comfortable with them leaving my side to venture out on their own while my hubby and I enjoyed the hot tub. The kids did the mining and we all had the character drawing done. On the positive side my family and I had a good Easter at Fort Rapids and the negative would of been the check in aspect.

“Not Impressed”

Check in was at 4:00 but I our room was not ready until after 6pm. I spent two hours in the lobby with the kids waiting for a room. When I finally got into the room it was a smokers room and I ask for a non smoking room.

“VERY DISAPPOINTING, DIRTY, AND OLD”

From the moment we drove up to the hotel my heart sunk with disappointment. It's old and in need of repair inside and out. The room was so dirty!! Even the air conditioning unit was filthy, broken, and didn't function properly. The hotel was also overcrowded. There were no towels for the kids to use while in the water park. There was always "a shortage" according to the staff. There were not enough inter tubes. You had to wait in line for no less than 1/2 hour to BEG inter tubes off of other guests. The lines at the slides were outrageously long and extremely disorganized, with no staff to organize the chaos. Our car was hit in their parking lot during our stay. I have called the hotel 4 times now to find out if they have surveillance video of the incident. The hotel will not return my phone calls regardless of the promises that I receive that someone will call me back. I will not return and would not recommend this hotel to any one else. I will pay the difference to go to Great Wolf Lodge.

“Not impressed. At All.”

room was not at all worth the money, the waterpark was a lot of fun, the water was nice and warm as was the air, my daughter had fun at the arcade and eating ice cream, the waitstaff at the bar serving dinner was absolutely terrible, management seemed to avoid us as they knew we were getting upset, probably won't stay here again as they totally ruined the experience for us. we were offered a bar menu (with a 2 year old) and people at the bar were offered full menu (even after we asked). I had to go to the bar for refills, watched our food sit on the bar as everyone else was being served. I had to leave I was so upset with the service, my husband stayed behind to pay.

“Come to Columbus, its great, but stay away from this hotel!”

Two people working behind the counter, & two including myself waiting to check in. One of the clerks walked past & acted as if she hadn't noticed us, the other answered phones & instead putting the callers on hold & helping the ones actually in the building she remained on the phone for five minutes. Checked into my room went up to that floor which was being painted. Several rooms including mine were missing room numbers. I had to go back downstairs to ask which room was mine, & received a curt answer by one of the clerks, the other switched rooms for me. I was moved yet again the next day becasue the previous night when I went to shower, the water temp went straight from scalding hot to icy cold. Told the clerk about it & she said that I should have called for maintenance (12:30 am.) Had to insist that my room be switched. The next nightwhen I arrived back at the hotel & to my new room, l & had to drive around several police cars which had been called, & gangs of men in the parking lot. I needed to do some work. The room had insuffiiceint lighting, only one light with one of the bulbs blown in it. The light by the entry was blinking incessantly. When I called the desk to ask for a bulb I was told that Maintenance was gone & they didn't know where the light bulbs were. They told me they would bring another light. It never came. Very disappointing visit & I will never make the mistake of staying there again.
