“excellent, low key hotel”

2 night weekends stay, good service, free breakfast was hot and fresh. Room was clean, nice but nothing special. Bed was clean and comfortable, heating and cooling worked fine. Would recommend to friends and stay there again if in columbus area.

“Best place if you can handle the traffic.”

The suite was fantastic: comfortable bed, large room, kitchenette, private. Parking was close by as well. The only drawback was the back ground noise due to the close proximity to the highway. Other than that, this had to be one of the best places I've stayed.

“Impressive Stay”

Excellent ! Will stay again for certain. We stayed 3 nights. The price was extremely inexpensive. Size of room was LARGE. This included a full kitchen, eat-in bar and living area. Upon entering the room a slight, musty odor was noted but one the room was opened up and lived in, the odor was no longer detected. The AC worked well, Room darkening curtains were superb so as to allow us to sleep in after a long drive out. We did note noise from nearby interstate, but not sure how this can be prevented as it is same in all motels/hotels we have visited. The noise never kept us awake. Our shower was hot, and great water pressure. Bathroom clean(no mold or odors). Found the convenience of the full kitchen delightful. Coffee maker was standard size(12 c.) Full size fridge and microwave. Quick easy access to local grocery store and food outlets. Interstate so close to allow ease of travel to Polaris, Easton, and Westerville (10 min.) There was a lovely pool but not swim season during our stay. As we travel to this location often, we will stay again and again at this location. We really got our monies worth and truly enjoyed our three day stay.

“Excellent”

We had a studio suite. It was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Good and efficient check-in and check-out. Nice breakfast. The whole property is non-smoking, so no chance of getting a room with stale cigarette smell. Overall a very nice place at a surprisingly affordable price - offering more amenities and comfort than most of hotels that cost twice as much. The only (very minor) negative is somewhat non-intuitive access road - it is essentially a continuation of mini-mall parking access road - but we figured it out within 2-3 minutes. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!

“Top Place to Stay”

My son and his fiance recommended this place to me. I travel to Columbus quite frequently and have to say that this is the best hotel chain I have ever stayed at. I felt really safe, the room just made you feel like you were at home, and the continential breakfast was above and beyond. Even though it is a little hard to find, it was the best time I have ever spent in Columbus. I would highly recommend the Hawthorn to anyone who is traveling in this area.

“Best kept secret in Columbus!”

I almost hate to write this review since I want to keep this hotel a secret! Firstly, the rate was phenomenal, secondly, the room was clean, nice, and HUGE! Thirdly, the staff was super friendly! And last but not least, it is in a nice area and is close to everything! We had an event at the expo center, just jump on 71 for about 5 miles and you're there. We also went to the Polaris Mall, maybe 10 minutes away. This is an awesome hotel and I recommend it highly to anyone looking for a hotel in Columbus! Great job!
