Nice hotel in the middle of a bygone areaPosted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Price, breakfast, quaint property
Cons: Somewhat rundown
Location: Rundown... see above.
Hotel is reasonably priced, clean, decent breakfast. The downfall is the location. It is in a once-vibrant area that has since gone by the wayside. Some rundown neglect to the neighborhood.

Home away from homePosted Apr 21, 2015
I love this place. It is my 3rd stay with them and I just can't say enough positive. Staff is wonderful! I did not like the minimalism of the kitchen. We had 1 spoon, folk, knife. We had one broken spatula and that was all our cooking utincils. They have gotten very skimpy on these items. Used to have a better stocked kitchen.

Old and dirty.Posted Apr 20, 2015
We picked this hotel because it looked nice online and there is a hawthorn near our house that is nice. We were disappointed and very uncomfortable. It is actually a motel and is a couple buildings away from an old abandoned hotel. The room was filthy and in bad repair. The sofa bed was actually duct taped! The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great, but the motel was in terrible shape.

Close to and easy to get toPosted Apr 14, 2015
Was at an event for 4 days. Hotel staff was kind and courteous. There had been a lot of rain and the carpet in the dressing area and coming out of dressing room to the bed was soppy wet. The staff was quick to try to help the situation. I would stay again.

More interested in Equine Affaire than sleeping!Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was good and surprise free Wednesday dinner.
Cons: Has fireplace but no firewood. Rooms would have been great 10 years ago.everything needs updating.
Location: Columbus has much to offer and interstate has easy access.
The room needed better cleaning around carpet to the wall. Bed board was dusty and kitchen tile floor was sticky with the cleaner which then made the carpet sticky too.

Was okPosted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Size of rooms
Cons: Cleaning, and breakfast.
Location: Convenient to the Expo Center/fairgrounds.
I've stayed at worse places, and I've definitely stayed at better! The layout of the buildings was awkward and not very well lit outside to see the room numbers. The person who checked us in gave us directions to the wrong room so we had to lug around our stuff until we found it. There were cobwebs in the corners, obscene drawings in our closet, mildew in the bathroom tile, the kitchen was lacking in utensils, and the free breakfast was lousy! There were also many crumbs down in the futon when we set it up. Rooms were spacious though, and the beds were comfortable. At least I didn't see the spiders who made the webs!

Inexpensive hotel.Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Service people were kind and friendly but zero follow through.
Cons: Responsiveness, staffing, on call maintenance. Retraining of housekeeping because this mattress was not bent but actually broken.
Location: It was convenient to the freeway and therefore to all local attractions.
The hotel was inexpensive which is really all I can say. There were no lights working in the parking lots so that was a bit of a concern as it was located off a freeway. First floor suites were damp to say the least. The carpets were pretty much wet. My mattress was literally cracked in the center so that if you slept facing the headboard your legs were elevated at least 1 foot above your head. I requested this be corrected when I checked in and was told the desk clerk was alone and could not assist me. I then requested that it be corrected the next day while we were out. I returned to my bed being made but the same mattress. I called again, got the same response. Called again in the morning and was told it would absolutely be taken care of. Got back to my room in the evening and it was untouched-same mattress. I spent 3 nights trying to sleep on a broken mattress.
