“Shopping in the area”

This hotel had just opened a few months before. It was very clean as can be expected for a place that new. I loved the layout of my room. The seating was nice and the bed comfortable. I loved the shower, nice big walk-in. Breakfast was pretty good as these complimentary breakfasts go and well stocked. All the staff was friendly. The only concern I had was it had rained a great deal that day and there was a puddle on the floor immediately where you enter the building. I mentioned that they might want to put down another rug to bridge the gap to the rug about 3 feet from the door. The desk clerk acted like they had already mopped it once so what could they do.
